RE: Pangya: Fantasy Golf
Just had a go with the game after a long absence.
Played a couple of Wiz Wiz License Mode Chip-in and Hole-in-one missions, and I'm not seeing any "Press X at the end of the mode" crashes yet. I'm trying to reproduce the crashes, so it'd be great if anyone has a detailed repro method for any of them. Just finished playing an 18 hole Wiz Wiz tournament using Cecilia. Everything seems pretty okay so far.

RE: Pangya: Fantasy Golf
This game, afaik, intentionally frees things that were already freed or never allocated. Ignore that.
It seems like there are different regions of this game with different issues. It's also possible you have a bad or incomplete rip. -[Unknown] |

RE: Pangya: Fantasy Golf
Okay, I've somehow managed to reproduce the "pressing X to proceed" issue on my system as reported in the previous pages by several users including Nightquaker.
A particular chip-in mission in the Blue Lagoon course is the best place to do it. As reported, pressing X repeatedly during the Results screen after finishing the mission results in the confirmation sound being heard over and over again but the game does not progress at all. Interestingly enough, once this starts to happen, the issue is easily reproducible with an alarming consistency for all License missions. Alternatively, the game and PPSSPP will crash right before showing the Results screen and/or the "X to proceed" button. Proceeding with the bisect. EDIT:- First responsible build via bisecting is actually 0.9.6-724-gecdffab. Last working revision is 0.9.6-723-g4cec228 For those who're interested in confirming these findings/testing (e.g. Nightquaker), here are the respective builds that I self-compiled with no additional modifications since the buildbot doesn't have them anymore. (Buildbot only goes as far back as 0.9.7). These builds are for 64bit Windows users only. 0.9.6-723-g4cec228 (works) :- https://www.mediafire.com/?me13xa8tm5y5j3o 0.9.6-724-gecdffab (doesn't work) :- https://www.mediafire.com/?l1colcnx8apdj1z (unzip using 7zip and place the exe into any working PPSSPP folder) I'll also open up a github issue if no one beats me to it. PPSSPP Modern Testbed:- Intel Core i5 4690K @ 4.0 GHz NVIDIA Geforce GTX 760 2GB GDDR5 VRAM @ 1138/6500 Mhz 16 GB DDR3 RAM @ 1600 MHz Windows 7 x64 SP1 PPSSPP Ancient Testing Rig:- Intel Core 2 Duo T9550 @ 2.8GHz ATI Mobility Radeon 4670 1GB GDDR3 VRAM @ 843/882 MHz 8 GB DDR3 RAM @ 1066 MHz Windows 7 x64 SP1 |

Yes! That is exactly what the issue is. Once it happens, it happens all the time afterwards. I redumped the image, but to no avail, it still doesn't work. Thanks for the working build, by the way, finally I'll be able to play the game until it's fully fixed!!! :3 Too bad, there's a post-processing glitch where bottom half of the screen gets black when I prepare the strike. RE: Pangya: Fantasy Golf
(08-04-2014 01:48 AM)Nightquaker Wrote: Too bad, there's a post-processing glitch where bottom half of the screen gets black when I prepare the strike. That happens because Simulate Block Transfers/Function Replacements (which is required to fix that) was only introduced by [Unknown] after 0.9.8. Just deal with it, it's only a very minor issue as the game is completely playable otherwise. (with the very, very occasional My Room crash when swapping out outfits.) Okay, so here's another 64bit PPSSPP build containing the best of both worlds for Pangya; the "Press X to proceed" bug is "fixed" and the post-processing glitch (black bottom half of the screen when prepping the shot) is non-existent since this one is based on the latest master (v0.9.9-51-g5bd40e5) which has fully functional SBT/FR but with the singular responsible commit reverted. https://www.mediafire.com/?3as0g9sdw5c5d8i I'd like to stress that this should only be used for Pangya, and also only if you experience the "Press X to proceed" issue, since the reverted commit is considered to be correct from testing and actually fixes other games like Nova, according to [Unknown]. PPSSPP Modern Testbed:- Intel Core i5 4690K @ 4.0 GHz NVIDIA Geforce GTX 760 2GB GDDR5 VRAM @ 1138/6500 Mhz 16 GB DDR3 RAM @ 1600 MHz Windows 7 x64 SP1 PPSSPP Ancient Testing Rig:- Intel Core 2 Duo T9550 @ 2.8GHz ATI Mobility Radeon 4670 1GB GDDR3 VRAM @ 843/882 MHz 8 GB DDR3 RAM @ 1066 MHz Windows 7 x64 SP1 |
