Ok so in the compatibility showcase it says there's like 5 new games that will be compatible version 7.6 is released, and that it is due for release shortly. Does anyone know when it will actually be released?

Badman won't save on Desire Z running ICS
Posted by: axfelix - 04-21-2013, 03:50 PM - Forum: General Discussion and Announcements - Replies (2)

Hi folks,

Really impressed with the emulator -- I can play Holy Invasion of Privacy, Badman! at near fullspeed on my old Desire Z.

however, it doesn't seem to save, and I can't find any option to correct this! the game allows me to choose a savefile when prompted, but it seems to be writing it to null, as when I try to load the save afterwards (even without restarting the emulator), it tells me there's no data. I checked and there is a savefile directory created on my SD card -- do I need to create a dummy memory card somehow?

thanks!

Ainol Novo 7 Advance II crash
Posted by: mattzombie - 04-21-2013, 02:00 PM - Forum: General Discussion and Announcements - Replies (3)

First of all my apologies if this thread is in the wrong place.

Im not complaining i just wanted to bring this to your attention so you could possibly look into the matter.
Since the new update my tablet (Ainol Novo 7 Advance II) force closes out of PPSSPP every time i load a game from the menu. Games that used to work before the update don't even work, no games seem to.

Anyway keep up the awesome work and thank you for a brilliant emulator

Question Performance rating
Posted by: Arehk - 04-21-2013, 01:20 PM - Forum: General Discussion and Announcements - Replies (3)

For games listed as playable, I think it'd be good if there were a rating system to show what device specs would make the game run smoothly (relative to android devices). So people can gauge what games they should download, rather than wasting time getting ones they wouldn't be able to run smoothly. So basically maybe just say "Suggested specs for smooth gameplay: 1.5Ghz Quad-core" or to make it seem a bit more fun, give it a ranking of stars, and describe specs required in-correlation to the amount of stars.

Information [Windows] Custom controls on pad
Posted by: vnctdj - 04-21-2013, 01:02 PM - Forum: General Discussion and Announcements - Replies (63)

Hi all ! Wink

Since the latest builds, a developer has added the possibility to modify the controls on PC version of PPSSPP, so you can choose which key is assigned to each button ! Smile

But the problem is that I play my games with PPSSPP via a PS3/PC pad and I can't modify the controls in order to assign them to my buttons' pad...

So I found a solution to bypass the problem :

You have to get :

  • Xpadder that you can find here.
  • The latest Windows build of PPSSPP that you can find here.
  • The pad that you want to play with
Here we go :
  1. Connect your pad now !
  2. Decompress "xp53c.rar" that you have downloaded.
  3. Launch "Xpadder.exe" ; you may have to run it in Compatibility Mode : right click on the file >> "Properties" >> "Compatibility" tab >> tick "Run this program in compatibility mode for :" then choose "Windows XP (Service Pack 3)" and click on the OK button.
  4. Since Xpadder is launched, you have to configure it by creating a layout and then creating a profile (assigning the controls like you want). At the end, it will look like that :
  5. Now, decompress the Windows build of PPSSPP that you have downloaded.
  6. Launch "PPSSPPWindows.exe".
  7. Click on the "Options" tab >> "Controls".
  8. In front of "Force device :", choose "XInput" and click on the OK button.
  9. Now you can load the game of your choice and enjoy ! Wink
The next time you want to play a game, you just have to follow this order :
  1. Connect your pad.
  2. Launch Xpadder (the layout and the profile are automatically loaded).
  3. Launch PPSSPP.
If you have a problem, read all the posts below : maybe someone have already had the same problem as you, if not don't hesitate to ask me in this thread or by PM ! Wink
