[Solved] Can't Exit from Games on Nvidia Shield TV
Posted by: Techn0mancer - 02-10-2016, 12:33 AM - Forum: General Discussion and Announcements - Replies (3)

Using the stand alone, free PPSSPP, I can't seem to get out of any game to play something else. Other emulators (retroarch cores) allow me to press the Nvidia button to exit to the emulator's menu where I can select "close content" to unload the game. Is there something I'm missing? I tried to search/browse the forum first, but I keep randomly getting a page saying I've been banned, even before I registered and even though today is the first time I've been here...

Thumbs Up How to speed up PPSSPP on low end PCs?
Posted by: sodaddict - 02-08-2016, 09:13 PM - Forum: General Discussion and Announcements - Replies (2)

My current PC is way far ahead of PPSSPP's maximum system requirements, although i carry the emulator everywhere i go on a USB (due to a crappy smartphone). Every time i get out of school i would go to my mother's work place and use the computers there.
Now to the topic, how can i speed up the PPSSPP emulator on these PCs? I tried em once and i got about 30 FPS instead of 60, which is kinda sluggish if you ask me. These PCs are little notebooks with 1 to 2 GB of RAM, a moderate Intel Atom processor, unknown GPU, and 520 GB HDD.
If anyone could fill me in on how to speed things up, i am happy to hear it. Big Grin

  Saint Row psp prototype
Posted by: Trokinos - 02-05-2016, 08:36 PM - Forum: General Discussion and Announcements - Replies (1)

I thought this could be interesting for some people here, i spotted this article :
https://www.unseen64.net/saintsrowundercover/

About a cancelled version of Saint Row for PSP that the developers Voliton decided to make available (legally) that prototype as an iso for people to toy with. Several mirrors for the iso are available on the article.

Can't test myself for now, but from the comments it looks like it's working on PPSSPP.
Just keep in mind it's a prototype, not even an alpha.

Some kind of issue with filtering. (A delay?)
Posted by: Ryudo - 02-03-2016, 11:00 PM - Forum: General Discussion and Announcements - Replies (3)

While I was playing Harvest Moon, and also Star Ocean Second Evolution, I noticed there's something buggy going on with the filtering of graphics now.

Whenever a character stands still it's perfectly fine, but when a character starts moving, the sprite becomes pixelated and it stays that way for about 2 seconds before being filtered correctly again by PPSSPP.

Here is a screenshot of it working as it should:

[Image: PPSSPPWindows%202016-02-04%2000-57-20-870.png]

And this is where the bug occurs:

[Image: PPSSPPWindows%202016-02-04%2000-57-24-000.png]

I am 100% sure that this didn't occur in older versions. Unfortunately I don't have access to the older versions anymore where it was working as intended... but could this possibly be looked into?
