Hate to sound like a jerk, but is there a way I can tell if these textures are working? I’ve never played this version of Persona on PPSSPP before. I put the textures in the right place and even renamed the iso to game id. I guess it’s working? I play with 2x scaling.

If you're on an iPhone 8 Plus, you can probably set it to 3x or 4x. To check for textures, open the game, go to game settings -> Tools (on the left) -> Developer Settings -> Check Replace Textures. It's also not a bad idea to turn off BRZ upscaling in Graphics Settings (but that's not necessary). The easiest way to tell after that is to check if the textures look high quality (portraits, text, UI). If it looks like the photos on the post, it's probably working. Feel free to ask again if you need any more help.

Thnx for the help. I got it working. I forced it to dump textures for a sec and then backed out and retried with the settings bumped up to 3x and deleted the specific game configs.

do you think you could add an alt font to this texture pack like the one from your persona 1 texture pack?

So I put the patch in and everything and the issue I am facing currently is that the Red border that is supposed to surround the text is not there at all. Like the text is appearing without any box to cover it.

So for instance in this picture only the red line above the box and the name/text will be visible, but not the background

I can't see the picture but I think I know what you mean.

Textboxes and a few menus dont use a texture and is not changed by this upscale. That box changes appearance based on your rendering resolution. Try it at 1x resolution and see if it changes.
