PPSSPP iOS Port
(03-14-2013, 10:40 PM)dre10g Wrote: Do we still need to purchase and install nitrous to get smoother fps?
Nitrous won't affect PPSSPP. It's for apps that use Javascript. It uses a JIT Javascript instead of the default interpreter Javascript for third-party apps.
There's no Javascript in PPSSPP.
google the name of the game with ........gamefaqs...saves.....
Where are you guys getting roms from?

I have a hacked PSP so I am ripping my UMD's and transferring them to my iPad.

Happen to have Final Fantasy VII ? Can't find a solid ROM anywhere.
I'd like to try it on my iPhone 5.

Erm you won't get ffvii working. You can only get it on original psp through the store. Or a converted psx iso to an eboot file which isn't supported on ppsspp...yet. And bubblegum...I no where to get saves from. Gamefaqs doesn't have the save I need. I have tried the ones on there which either start at the end of a game or on new game +. Which still requires me to go through the opening video (white screen)

Okay, okay. That sounds interesting.

What games would you think could be suitable running on an iPhone 5?
Recommendations?
BTW IF YOU HAVE AN IPHONE 5 ,FINAL FANTASY 7 WORKS FULL SPEED ON PSX EMU

DRAGON BALL EVOLUTION WORKS ON PPSSPP AT 30FPS
By default GLKView updated 30 times per second, so full speed in games could not be (without frameskip)..
I set it to 60 -
https://github.com/rock88/ppsspp/commit/...d512718a1e

And sound not work because sound has not yet made for iOS. For android using OpenSLES and i don't know can we use it for iOS. Maybe will rewrite it on OpenAL..

something is wrong with your settings...try a .cso of smaller size maybe

For Wipeout, I was using a 155mb .cso and it is slow (haven't tried the 241mb .iso yet)
DO you think it will make a difference using cso rather than iso?
(03-14-2013, 03:44 PM)ppssppikachu Wrote: WOW!!!!!!!! I just ran Wipeout Pute at 51-52 FPS on IPHONE 5 6.0 and it was smooth and beautiful!!!!! Settings: hardware transform on,frameskip on,vertex cache on,draw using..on,use mediaengine on. not analog controls,no sound no tilt etc.

I DONT KNOW IF IT HELPS BUT I DOWNLOADED FREE MEMORY AND I OVERCLOCK 1.1 FROM CYDIA TO TRY AND GAIN SPEED.

ALSO IT HELPS WHEN YOU HAVE A SAVE FILE TO START UP GAMES.MORTAL KOMBAT UNCHAINED IS VERY FAST BUT THE SCREEN FLICKERS.....

I still can't believe Crisis Core is working at almost full speed!!!!!!50-55 FPS

the only one that is superslow is God of War Sparta....
NHL 07 doesn't boot .

You might wanna check that capslock button ~livisor

Can that overclock tweak from Cydia harm the device in any way? Long term.

Sound is quite easy. All you need to do is hook to the mixer function.
On Linux, it uses SDL (so that's an option).
On Blackberry I use ALSA.
On Symbian, I use Qt.
It's very easy to put any audio backend in.

Will merge your FPS change rock88.

Last time I checked, it didn't do anything. So no. It won't. Probably.
