Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker

RE: Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker
i got and it works like a charm on 0.8.1

only issues are the ones known, slight slowdown now and then during game play and more often during cut scenes.

graphics seem ok for me, do get the odd freeze after each mission, also noticed when compleating a mission you select next mission it takes you to mother base, not sure if thats normal or not (even if you dont select return to mother base).

only suggestion i have for this emulator (dont know if already requested or working on) is to support the 2nd stick on my 360, i know the psp doesnt have one, but would be nice to have the emulator set camera controls (via the buttons) to set to analogue (2nd stick) at the moment i have to map the stick using keyboard keys and map them using xpadder.

RE: Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker
You're using an outdated build. The official 0.8.1 release is three weeks old. Download the latest build from here. The mission select bug is fixed, and controls are fully remappable. There is currently an issue where the "Back"/Select button on the 360 controller opens the PPSSPP menu, but that should be fixed soon.

Edit: The back/select button issue has been fixed.

That stupid final Nuke sequence, you can't make her flinch.

Is this fixed? I spend about 5 hours trying to beat this boss. I thought i got low dps so i upped all my rpg to 4th rang and 3 level usage level (about 30 replays missions Head to the Control Tower and 20 Pupa) And again this ballheaded cow don't abort the Nuke. I launched 3 gustav rockets, 4 law, 1 air strike and contless bullets for this short minute and not a single life bar was removed. Angry

RE: Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker
Oh no, looks like new updates did something to the sound, music is ok, but sounds are too quiet. It's possible to balance it (kinda), but footsteps are still too quiet. Does anybody know what to do?

Jack up both SE and BGM audio levels to 8/8. This will restore the original balance. Everything will be a blt louder, which brings us to the next step.

Lower down global volume of PPSSPP via Windows Audio Controls/mixer. 10 or 11 is a good amount. You should now get balanced audio levels for all sources. (AT3, AT3+ audio for SFX, BGM and CG FMVs)

This is necessary since the audio levels were altered from v0.8.1-632-g05dfd27 onwards thanks to this commit (used to be 1-5, now its 1-8):-

RE: Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker
New to PPSSPP just wanted to ask and post some findings....

DOes anyone have a fix for the controls with an xbox 360 controller for windows?

When I turn he just keeps on turning and when I look up all the way it just stays up there and is way sensitive
I put the sensitivity at 1 and it does not help. Any fixes? or recommendations for a controller type for this game?

thaniks

RE: Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker
Anybody else getting black boxes showing up for rocket/missile textures in game? Also choosing back to menu during graphic intensive parts causes the emulator to crash. Other than that, the game runs great for me and is playable on Android.

This shouldn't happen.

I'm using the 360 controller myself in the game and the controls are set to Hunter controls in the options, with the DPAD mapped to me 2nd analog stick using Xpadder.

The sensitivity works just fine that way.

RE: Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker
EDIT: I tried the game, so far, everything works. 300 MB install works without any problems. I don't know what the problems are (For me anyways, all I did was install data and launch the game...), so could someone also list all the major problems?

Alright guys, I'm new to this stuff, congrats to me. :3 Anyways, I read the whole forum and I'm confused... I have build 0.8.1, and what do I do so far to get PW running? I haven't tried ANYTHING yet besides adding my save data to the memstick. I haven't installed any data files either. What do I do? I see all this gitfile fixes or something, but I'm very confused. Can someone tell me where to go or something? Thanks in advance.
