I know also, but I just want to ask all this time is it possible to make an option for the emulator that will keep the original resolution for those effects that look bad on higher than normal rendering resolution, especially those ghostly shadows!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I found out that "Lower resolution for effects (reduces artifacts)" option is supposed to do that function of lowering resolution for those effects I mentioned above, which is doing it in some way, but in the other it doesn't stop those blurred textures from duplicating them selves!!! :\

RE: Dissidia 012: Duodecim Final Fantasy
Not sure if this is the right place.
I'm playing in a Moto G 2nd Gen, Lollipop 5.0.2, most recent ppsspp version
When i try to unlock a character with pp it proceeds to a screen showing the character but then i can't exit that screen, i've tried every button and nothing.

Dissidia Duodecim Problem...
The neck of the character I'm playing as becomes longer than it should while in a battle. He looks like a girraffe when it happens.

I'm playing in my s3 mini and I'm using unofficial DLC's, if it helps. But the neck problem also happened on my previous phone.

Having an issue with this game. Apparently I can't get through the VERY FIRST STAGE of story mode. Everytime I enter "gateway to departure" the game doesn't proceeds. Its like it hangs just after the moment. I would gladly need some help with this. I am playing with a windows 8 laptop.

RE: Dissidia 012: Duodecim Final Fantasy
I need help guys. I am playing v1.0.1 on windows 8 and this game is having an issue. Everytime I try to enter the very first stage of story mode, which is "gateway to departure", the game gets stuck, like it hangs and there is white screen forever. Should I download another clean ISO file? Or should I use another version of ppsspp? Would really be glad if some of you would know how to fix this. I'd be very thankful.

RE: Dissidia 012: Duodecim Final Fantasy
I can reproduce this problem in 1.0.1-r432 and 1.0 release. When PPSSPP tries to load the cutscene before the first boss in 013 Epilogue, it hangs on a white screen. The cutscene does load correctly in 0.9.9.1 release, so some commit between 0.9.9.1 and 1.0 broke it.

I only use PPSSPP on Windows.

What's the first build it started happening in, and the last build it didn't?

RE: Dissidia 012: Duodecim Final Fantasy
There are some bloom flickering and intensity issues depending on the stage. It's a minor problem, but it's there in the latest GIT build, which is currently v1.0.1-442.

My specs:
Phenom X3 8450 ~2.3GHz
PowerColor HD6850 1GB
4 gigs of DDR2-800 RAM
~400GB HDD
Windows 8.0 x64

RE: Dissidia 012: Duodecim Final Fantasy
So, the ghosts bug still exists in the newer version, 1.0.1. It can be solved by using non-buffered rendering, but it makes the game much darker when this effect should happen.

Tough, it is not a bug itself. It's an effect from the game, that happens even in the PSP itself, but doesn't look bad at a small screen. It is used to brighten up places and make a blur like effect. Although, at higher resolutions, it even gave me headaches Tongue

We can even see that in some arenas, such as Sky Fortress Bahamut, this effect doesn't exist, so the game doesn't look blurred even using buffered rendering. But when it should happen, as during EX Bursts, for example, the game became much blurred, or with non-buffered rendering, much darker. To fix this, we would probably need a game specific hack.

Here goes some screenshots. P.S.: Ignore Vaan without legs, Direct3D9 bug with non-buffered rendering Tongue

RE: Dissidia 012: Duodecim Final Fantasy
I haven't started checking the builds yet, but for anyone else who can't proceed through the story, try changing the backend to OpenGL. The cutscene loaded for me with OpenGL in 1.0.1-r432, when it crashes in DirectX9.

Edit: After setting up a quicksave right before the cutscene for easier testing and loading from that quicksave, I can't reproduce the hang at all. Bizarre.

I only use PPSSPP on Windows.

RE: Dissidia 012: Duodecim Final Fantasy
Non buffered rendering is a hack that prevents the game from using buffers in its rendering. The PSP allowed games to use buffers for their rendering.

The reason it makes it darker is because the game uses a buffer to blur and bring the scene back to correct brightness. You lose both effects (the blur and also the brighten) when disabling the ability of the game to use buffers.

Has it always crashed in Direct3D? It might just be your video driver, though.
