Sorry in advance, if this isn't the write place to post. I'm also going to say sorry, in-case this is a re-post; I tried searching for tegra 4 but nothing came up.


I've been using PPSSPP on my Dual-core 1.5 GHz Cortext-A9 (Huawei P1) for the last couple of months and it has been great. I'm thinking about upgrading, but I can't decide between Tegra 4 and Snapdragon 800.


According to "system-on-a-chip" The tegra 4 is lacking OpenCL & OpenGL ES 3.0. Would that affect performance?

Besides calls, the new phone is going to be used exclusively for PPSSPP so I'd like to choose the best CPU that I can.

So, I played Final Fantasy IV and all was going fine. Then, yesterday I opened the game, loaded it and started to play from where I had left it in the story. Now, the load state worked, and at least I could see everything fine, but when I clicked "S" that in the game is to open the menu, I instead get letters L & R at the top, at the very left and at the very right. So I tried to check the settings of the keyboard and all seems fine, no reason for errors according to me. But after trying to do this or that, now I can't even load the game with F5 (I had assigned the save feature to that key) and I have no clue what I did... any help?

This is my first time trying PPSSPP, i looked around and for some reason, Visual C++ problems aren't uncommon, but not very clear.
Anyway here goes.
I downloaded PPSSPP for a game that just got translated, said to work with PPSSPP 0.9.8.
There I see i need VC 2013 runtime, so I go to the link, see i have 3 .exe files to execute.
Out of the 3 only 1 did. I get 2 error messages :

for vcredist_x64 i get : 0x81f40001 Microsoft Visual C++ 2013 redistributable (x64) - 12.0.21005 can only be installed on Winfows XPSP1(x64) and newer platforms

I run on Windows 7 32 bits, so I'm guessing this one just isn't for me ?

for vcredist_arm.exe i get : C/users/ etc... vcredist_arm.exe isn't a valid Win32 application.

Again, even google didn't help me with that one, don't see how i can MAKE it a win32 application.

the only one that did install is vcredist_86.exe

so PPSSPP does open normally it seems, but when i load the game i get a black screen, i tried with 2 different ISO, still i get just a black screen.

So i have no idea what I'm doing wrong, I have visual C++ 2010, 2008 (x3) x86, visual c++ 2005 (x2), visual c++ runtime lib setup already installed, and now the 2013 (x86).

Anyone knows what I'm doing wrong please?
I've waited a long time to play this game in English, I'd love for someone to give me a hanf here. Thank you so muuuuuuch.

Hey all, I've been playing mhfu on my HTC one with ppsspp v9.8 which is amazing thx developers. I also downloaded ppsspp for Windows 7 v9.8 again. I was able to transfer my phone ppsspp saved state onto pc and the saved state loaded it fine. Then I transferred my pc ppsspp save state for mhfu onto my phone. And it won't load state?!
Oh woe is me. Can any tell me what I'm doing wrong?

After monitoring the resource usage of the emulator for a while now. I believe its safe to say it can be used on PC's that are 10 years old. I believe the max amount of RAM I seen it used is like 320MB. Only seen this once. So it is VERY rare. Average I would say is 200-250mb of RAM CPU usage is like at 5-6% on average. Now if you have the graphics cranked on to max possible for everything then it will use your GPU the most. Testing this out on big full 3D games such as KH, Parasite Eve among others. They all yield the same results for resource usage. The rendering resolution is what s the GPU hog here At 10x it uses 32-34% on my GPU. At 1x it maybe uses .5%. Its so low MSI Afterbuner says its at 0%. So that's why I say maybe .5%.

This emulator is so well optimized and so well done its amazing. Even Desume (NDS emulator) I seen it use 3 cores off my system. Its crazy.

I cant transfer data from lord of arcana to my ps-vita data without it getting corrupted. i can move my psp save data fine but idk what happened.

Hello everyone! I've got an ASUS MeMo Pad Smart 10" with an NVIDIA Tegra 3 SoC. I have tasker overclock the processor to 1.7ghz when I open PPSSPP for maximum performance. I have followed the instructions in the guide to optimizing performance, and I only want to play one game, Project DIVA. My tablet can handle some songs with no lag, some songs with noticeable lag, and some songs are just unplayable. Is there anything I can do to squeeze any more performance from this device to play just this one game? My now dead Kindle Fire 1st gen handled this game better with only a 1.2ghz processor...

Just try the latest PPSSPP 0.9.8 build 1449 & 1450 for Android
And when i try all games God Eater they always Force Close on booting

* and since ppsspp rely on gpu and not other things..
* i just want to ask which is better gpu.

* phones i saw are all Powered with 1.2-1.5ghz Quadcore processor 1 and 2gb of Ram
* 18mp main camera, 8mp front, and all goodness of androids ( but i'm not a photographer, i'm a gamer )

*except they differ in gpu
