  Windows 10 Performance
Posted by: Relic1882 - 10-09-2015, 06:38 PM - Forum: General Discussion and Announcements - No Replies

Just wanted to let people know, for what it's worth, that I bought my son a laptop that had intel i5 processor with HD 3000 2nd gen. graphics on it. After setting up Windows 7, his performance was a little sub par for PPSSPP. Castlevania Dracula X Chronicles played pretty decent, Little Big Planet played ok, but MHP3rd HD version was a little lacking in smoothness. That stinks because it's his favorite game ever.

Anyway, I received a free upgrade on Windows Update for Windows 10. After installing it painlessly, I ran PPSSPP again and the performance was significantly better. MHP3rd runs very well and I was even able to up the res from 2x to 4x for him. The little skips and hiccups that it suffered before all went away too.

I thought that was saying a lot being how crappy the intel HD 3000 graphics are in the first place.

So if anyone's wondering about Windows 10 and PPSSPP, it works very well for me so far.

  Multithread support
Posted by: GuilhermeGS2 - 10-08-2015, 06:00 PM - Forum: General Discussion and Announcements - No Replies

I know the multithread support is still experimental, but I'd like to know when will be optimed, because I'm having a core overload in some games like Midnight Club 3 and LA, the Core0 is always 100% while the Core1 is in lower usage (mainly when I'm recording with FRAPS), even with multithread enabled, and it causes bottleneck (frame drops). When I overclock my CPU, the overload doesn't affect the performance. What you devs can tell me about?

PPSSPP has popping audio after recording with Shadowplay
Posted by: dis astranagant - 10-08-2015, 09:59 AM - Forum: General Discussion and Announcements - Replies (3)

It's not in the recording, it's something the emulator does after recording stops. It continues even while paused and in the background. Loud, constant pops that go away when I restart PPSSPP.

Why is 4x window size 1916x1022?

Instead of a proper 1920x1088. It's making OBS throw a fit.

Samsung Galaxy S6 - "Unfortunately, PPSSPP has stopped."
Posted by: BearZ - 10-06-2015, 09:19 PM - Forum: General Discussion and Announcements - Replies (9)

I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S6, it's updated and no issues with it

Today I got PPSSPP as I wanted to use it for (obviously), games. I have 3 ISO's that all result in the same thing.

I open the app, and everything is okay. When I go to open an ISO/game though, the app (always) crashes after 1-3 seconds. The only game where I see anything is Disgaea 2, where I see a "now loading" on the bottom right. The app still crashes after a second or so still.

What can I do to resolve this? Is there some kind of code/error report I can post here? I tried googling solutions, or other people that may have had this problem, but I was unable to find anything.

Please help me

Cheats + Specific Game Config does not work together
Posted by: xZabuzax - 10-05-2015, 08:10 AM - Forum: General Discussion and Announcements - Replies (8)

As the title says, if you create a specific game config the cheats won't work for that particular game anymore. The game config needs to be deleted if you wish to use any cheat on it.

I have a particular game that I use with a different configuration and I'm not able to use the 60 fps cheat because of it.

I hope this minor inconvenience gets the developers attention.

Keep up the awesome work dudes.

Controlling issue with rotate camera games
Posted by: Hizaki - 09-28-2015, 07:50 PM - Forum: General Discussion and Announcements - Replies (1)

Dudes, there is a issue. All games runs without glitches and crashes. No just recently ran into a problem in the two games, in which I wanna play. In fact, many of these games is the game where there is a camera view, ie. use the arrows, for instance on the joystick, you can rotate the camera around the character, but with the help of the left pad-a movin character. And the problem is that when the character moving as a button camera review. To more fully imagine what it looks like, say running your character forward, and the camera rests with us up. Clearly, I thought that it is necessary to delve into the control settings. Try a bunch of options, the arrow is set separately, left / right pad-s alone, but the result is still the same. And with standard settings on the keyboard is no such problem.I thought the joystick can be buggy. I tried two others-all the same trouble. Who else encountered this? I still think that somewhere in the control settings I or something removed or deleted when I bring myown settings, or can not put a tick where. Many have tried to change that, and in Final Fantasy Type-0 and The 3-rd Birthday did not get to play. Please tell me where to poke (I'm pretty sure that there is only one thing is setting) to avoid these simultaneous movement forward and the camera up with control via joystick.
