So, I've been using my trust PS2 Controller for many years, both for PC games (Dark Souls, Rocket League, Ninja Storm, Pirate Warriors, etc, etc.)
Anyway, my controller works on everything else on my computer, but I cannot get the emulator to recognize it.
I run Windows 8,1, and I have the latest version of the emulator.
Thanks for any advice / tips / help.

| How to play SvR '11 at Nearly Full Speed |

Here are the settings I used to make SVR '11 playable on my quad-core LG L52VL:
Graphics:
Skip Buffer Effects
Simulated Block Transfer disabled
Frameskip 1
FPS Speed Limit disabled
Immersive Mode enabled
Display Resolution Native device resolution
Mipmapping enabled
Hardware transform enabled
Software skinning enabled
Vertex cache enabled
Lacy texture caching enabled
Retain changed textures enabled
Disable slower effects enabled
Spline/Bezier curves quality low
Upscale level off
Upscale type xBRZ
Deposterize enabled
Anisotropic filtering off
Texture filtering auto
Screen scaling filter linear
Timer hack enabled
Disable alpha test disabled (causes weird outline artifacts in SvR '11)
Force depth write enabled
Lower resolution for effects aggressive
Audio disabled
These settings enable nearly full-speed play of SmackDown vs. RAW 2011. The game's still a bit tricky to play (I play on Legend difficulty with the AI reversal sliders all the way up), but provides decent flow and even enhanced graphics compared to the PSP.

I've given up trying to get PPSSPP to work on my laptop, as I have found a really neat workaround: I KNEW I bought that quad-core Android smartphone for something! Heh heh...
That's right--I got PPSSPP working, first try, after installing it via .apk. Now to see if my custom Smackdown vs. RAW 2011 game works on it...

| Persistent DirectX Errors |

I've tried everything I can think of, but I can't escape the persistent DirectX 9 errors that keep popping up.
Here is a list of all errors I've encountered:
"Failed Initializing Graphics. Try upgrading your graphics drivers and DirectX 9 Runtime. Would you like to try switching to OpenGL? Error message: unable to compile shaders. The specified module could not be found." (Occurs if I have no .dll files or d3dx9_42.dll in the PPSSPP root folder)
"The procedure entry point_except_handler4_common could not be located in the dynamic link library msvcrt.dll." (Occurs if I have Opengl32.dll in the PPSSPP root folder)
"The procedure entry point_ftol2 could not be located in the dynamic link library msvcrt.dll." (Occurs if I have d3d9.dll, but not OpenGL32.dll, in the PPSSPP root folder)
Even stranger is the fact that this emulator worked fine in DirectX 9 mode when I had Windows 7 on my machine. I've since downgraded mainly to get rid of that annoying "This copy of Windows is not genuine" message (I had to replace Windows 7 due to it crashing, and was stuck with a 'pirate' copy of Windows 7). Maybe if I re-upgrade to Windows 7 it'll enable PPSSPP to work again...? Otherwise, I'm at a total loss as to what to do to get rid of these irritating errors. (And sorry for the big block of text.)
EDIT: Seriously, 56 views and not ONE single response to this post? Is it that I have somehow encountered a series of errors in a certain way that no one else has ever encountered, and therefore no one knows how to deal with it?
