RE: media engine
I think it caused a few problems.. so devs thought better to fix games that needed it.. ie Soul calibur needed it, and its been fixed with so many others.. but not all.

Force 60 fps helps GOW.
As for if it will return, not sure?? I'll let the devs answer that.

I remember that when the developers have decided to remove media engine they said that it will never return...
For example, daxtsu said it in this post...

♦ Intel Core i7-6700HQ | 16 GB RAM | NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M | Debian Testing
♦ Intel Core i7-2630QM | 4 GB RAM | NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M | Debian Testing
♦ PSP-3004 | 6.60 PRO-C2

RE: media engine
It was removed because it caused issues in multiple games when disabled, and game compatibility should be better now than before. If you wanted it back for better performance, have you looked at the performance guide? There are many better options for increasing performance than bringing back a hack that cripples compatibility.

As far as "finding better ways" goes, I personally didn't code the MediaEngine stuff. I was simply stating the position we had on the hack at the time. It's not coming back.

RE: media engine
I'm personally not going to touch it, but that's not to say someone else might not look at it in the future. That said, I would guess most platforms that PPSSPP can run on also have a GBA emulator of some sort(VBA, Retroarch, etc.), so getting gPSP to work would probably be pretty low priority.

RE: media engine
yeah.. i second that..
PPSSPP is already a Multi platform app, then u want it also to become a Multi-purpose emulator? maybe that is too much?
use other specific emu for specific roms if u want to play them Smile
