RE: compiling direcx x version
Not everyone uses Windows Vista/7/8, that's why. A lot of people still use XP. Doing DirectX 11 only would limit the userbase by a large margin.

RE: compiling direcx x version
DX9,10,11 makes no real difference. The tough job is to code for any of these, making support for an other version after that is really easy, but unless something is done in general with DX, the discussion will go nowhere.

Brick RE: compiling direcx x version
is someone will start a direct x branch at github?it's good for testing purpose,i'm lacking in this kind of work,my laptop that does'nt have opengl 2.0 just collecting dust now, ppsspp have long way to go,i guess dx version will take long time(no meaning of eta),so dx version maybe will be good if someone work at it until it got merged,i doesn't expect speed,it just like "don't waste what you have".maybe @trenico code will help in development of direct x support for window that not support or don't have opengl2.*

my current opengl 1.4.2,intel don't make sense at all....

my sub weapon:
xperia mini hd
1ghz scorpion
single core
not clocked

my ultimate weapon
acer(laptop)
2.2ghz ?core
intel media accelarator 3000

i'm a tester,but not as good as other,please be kind with me,haha.

Yes I tink if someone start a direct x branch at github it will be great and , we don't want speed or huge perfomance ,just to see ppsspp work on laptop that does'nt support opengl 2.0 and i think its a good idea since direct x support not impossible and i know it need lot of work and time but lot of people would being happy for directx support

RE: compiling direcx x version
Someone could take a look in PCSX2 codes, that have support to DX9 emulation, and write an code for PPSSPP. But need of someone that understand much about DX9.

Phone: Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro 4/64GB

No, that doesn't help at all, it's like comparing apples and oranges.

But, as the emulator only uses OpenGL 2 ES available features (no immediate mode functionality), it should be pretty straightforward to create an abstraction to switch API. Not that I'm willing to do it.
