RE: Gran Turismo
Emulator breaks saves Gran Turismo! After any game saves no longer runs. Hangs on reading saves. Error looks like this:

RE: Gran Turismo
@noxtester,
Which version of PPSSPP are you using, as in your screen shot, it looks like your using an old version 0.9.5 (I am guessing from the win_95). If so update to latest Beta build at top of list: http://buildbot.orphis.net/ppsspp/index.php Which at time of writing this was: v0.9.6-342-gcb28d33 Now try with that version replacing the old one with that. Hopefully that will help this game......... Edit: I just tried the USA version of the game, on Windows (x86) build using v0.9.6-342-gcb28d33 - Seems to save okay, but when shutting down the emulator then re-starting up Gran Turismo, the save indeed does the same, as "noxtester" said, annoyingly.......... But if you take a look at the saves in the Save Game folder, they look fine, no corrupted PARAM.SFO or Icons. So would think its a problem with Load game routine in some way. |

Can't reproduce, UCUS98632, 0.9.6-342-gcb98632, Windows 7 x64. Quite odd..
Does it still happen if you delete/rename your PPSSPP.ini config file (so it generates a fresh one) and any savedata the game has? 4GHz AMD 3900X, 32GB DDR4 RAM, 6GB Nvidia RTX 2060, Asus Crosshair 7 Hero (Wifi), Linux How to ask useful questions: https://web.archive.org/web/20110214010944/http://support.microsoft.com/kb/555375 I'm not Dark_Alex, nor do I claim to be. RE: Gran Turismo
The Phoenix, I tried the version from 0.9.1 to 0.9.6-250. At all the problem persists.
Use 0.9.5 because Gran Turismo on it works better. 0.9.6 on the screen shakes sometimes. If you insert into the emulator saves Gran Turismo with a real PSP, they deteriorate immediately. If you start from the beginning of the game on an emulator, with saves created them, then they break for 2-3 days. Very strange ... |

RE: Gran Turismo
Morning chaps
Is it possible for someone to pass a full settings for PPSSPP for US edition of Gran Turismo? With a setup made for GTA VCS it slows down a lot and some very odd effects occur during screen changes like dealership or singleplayer. I'm using PPSSPP 0.9.6.2 If you need to know my what kind of hardware I use, here it is: CPU: Phenom II X4 965 @ 3.8 RAM: 8GB 1333mhz GPU: Radeon HD 6870 1GB |

Graphic problems in gran turismo
Sorry for opening a special thread,
but there is still a very ugly bug in gran turismo psp. there is always a bright line between the sky an the horizont. (buffered rendering or non buffered rendering makes no difference) the bug is the same on pc and android version. I don´t know if this effect is the same in other games. It would be nice, if one of the developers can have a look on it. Thanks in advance! |

RE: Gran Turismo
Wow,
with the latest git-versions the car reflections - especially in replays - now works properly. Former it worked only for special camera angles and only on some parts of the cars. Looks great! Even better than on a real psp because of the higher resolution. Thanks to the developers for the great work! |

Yep, apparently this pull request by @raven02 is responsible for the overall improvements to the car reflections Before (notice how only the car bumper is covered):- After (whole body reflected) :- Good observation mate. massive slowdown with v0.9.8-423 and gran turismo
Just tested v0.9.8-423 with gran turismo on my galaxy s3 and noticed a massive (!) slowdown
Before (v0.9.8-421) i could play at 100 % speed. Now i got only 25 - 35 %. So the game is unplayable at the moment. |

RE: massive slowdown with v0.9.8-423 and gran turismo
Verified, it runs like crap on my Core 2 system in sig with the same build on Windows too.
Used to be 60+ VPS and now it's down to 25 VPS. 0.9.8-421 is indeed the last version to have decent speed for Gran Turismo. Thanks for the initial discovery, zschigi2.
