Dissidia 012: Duodecim Final Fantasy

RE: Dissidia 012: Duodecim Final Fantasy
Am I the only person having problems with recent rev (last 10 days or so) cutting to some sort of menu when I try to input a lot of buttons at once? I haven't figured out the button combination that brings up the menu, and I have a DirectInput gamepad I use so there's an extra complication, but sometimes when I'm inputting a button combination like R+X+up-left analog+finger hitting d-pad by mistake the game will cut to a menu with a list of all the usual options you can look through when you start PPSSPP. I can resume the game, but the R+X+up-left analog combination is directional dodge and resuming the game means I get hit by whatever I was trying to dodge.

Long story short, this menu makes the game borderline unplayable, and I want to know how to disable it.

I only use PPSSPP on Windows.

Simple.

The problem:- In the latest revs, the previously unused L2/R2 equivalent (or LT/RT on the 360 pad) buttons have been assigned to bring up the "menu screen".

The solution:- Identify the keys that are causing the conflict and disable their mapping in the DInput/XInput controls screen on PPSSPP, by right clicking on the respective button icon (in my case it was Reserved and the Menu button), and clicking on disable which should be the only option in that drop down menu.

Problem solved.

Windows 7 x64 SP1

ATI Mobility Radeon 4670 1GB GDDR3 VRAM @ 843/882 MHz

RE: Dissidia 012: Duodecim Final Fantasy
Yep, it's as simple as that; I was mashing on the R2 key in addition to the keys I wanted. I was frustrated because the oioitff media builds I use have incorporated DirectInput support, but haven't yet incorporated the ability to disable obnoxious keys like that. I tried copying a file from a rev that did have that ability, but then it mapped my d-pad to turbo and menu!

Guess it's back to a rev before DirectInput support until this gets fixed downstream.

I only use PPSSPP on Windows.

? There was never any BGM for this game unless you used oioitff's builds which have atrac3+ support.

RE: Dissidia 012: Duodecim Final Fantasy
The game's running fine on r805 so far, sound and all; it is prone to slowdowns when loading a new track, but that doesn't happen in mid-battle so it's tolerable.

To enable background music, you need to manually edit the ppsspp.ini file and set AutoLoadDShow to True.

I only use PPSSPP on Windows.

RE: Dissidia 012: Duodecim Final Fantasy
I've read the previous posts and am using v0.7.6-983-g6ad2782 (windows)
I can play Dissidia 012 without any noticeable issues aside from one or another graphics glitch, though some videos and character voices seem to be missing specially on intros. Nothing major.

Additionally there appears to be no music, is there any way to fix this? I've tried adding AutoLoadDShow = True
under [Sound] but it didn't work for me. I've even tried it with the version r805 and still no music.

thanks in advance

Directshow stuff was removed in v0.7.6-911-g852a07d. You need to use one of several At3PlusDecoder.dlls now to get music/sound(don't know if this game in particular is compatible with it, however).

http://www.mediafire.com/download/0zhabr...ecoder.dll

Taken from http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?...0#pid25270

Just drop it in the same folder as your ppsspp.exe.

It most definitely is. Its one of those games that requires at3+ support for the BGM to function.
