Is there any official .cso compressor?
As the title said. Official, or at least a notable and reliable one -- not random program downloaded from random site.
I do not want to put my data integrity at risk. |

But I need an official site to download, or at least a link from the official site which lead to the third party one. Well, unless I am god and know who uploaded these files, and put what inside them before uploading. |

RE: Is there any official .cso compressor?
I expect some sorta software (not program, hope you know what I mean) or official tool from original developer of CSO format. I appreciate the efforts of people who make homebrew/small programs for free, but using them is simply not my style.
In fact malware is what I care the less. These apps usually have short development history and are little tested. They're provided "as is" after all. There is no guarantee these apps can extract every CSO back to ISO intact. Even major commercial software have bugs. That's why I don't want to put my game library at risk. I'll continue using ISO until I find an CSO compressor reliable enough. /to vsub_ Thanks for your program though. |

RE: Is there any official .cso compressor?
Isn't this info good enough for you
http://sourceforge.net/projects/ciso/ Quote:Ciso is a small tool to compress your psp iso to cso format. It was originaly coded by Booster, the famous coder of Devhook for the PSP. Since Booster isn't maintaining his sources anymore, you can find them below. My tool act as a gui for the dos program csio and the gui is sending command lines to csio only when csio finish doing what is doing to the image. It also(ciso)saves the compressed image where you want and don't do anything to your ISO image. You can never be 100% sure that everything will go ok no matter what software you use even if it's created by the most famous software developer in the world. Most(if not all)programs created for personal use that modify data, almost always contains this message..."use it at your own risk" Using PPSSPP on Windows 7 x64 SP1 i7 4771 3.5Ghz,GTX750TI,16GB RAM Batch iso <=> cso converter http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=5384 Save Game\States Manager http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=5516 |

RE: Is there any official .cso compressor?
@Livy there are many tools for cso, but most of them use pretty limited, old and potentially buggy cso commandline tool. If you want a good program which handles it natively use Leecherman's Ciso Multi Compressor it's very simple, but has a batch conversion, you can choose different output folder, supports iso's above 2gb and multithreading which makes it really fast, nothing more of such tool is really needed. Also Leecherman is pretty known in the scene and his tools are very reliable.
Just an extra note - PPSSPP does not handle ripped iso's converted to cso's too well, so I don't recommed ripping with programs like umd gen at all. http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=6594 - Custom PPSSPP Shaders! http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=3590&pid=117172#pid117172 - simple CE scripts to help creating CWCheats, https://github.com/LunaMoo/PPSSPP_workarounds - CWCheat workarounds. |

Didn't know Leecherman made a tool for PSP ISO/CSO files better check this out I've been looking recently on how to compress my FF Type-0 merged ISO thanks bro oh and yea I kinda agree on UMDGen right there compared to PSP ISO Compresser v1.4 sometimes it can't compress some ISOs to CSO that's why I only use that tool to edit some ISO/CSO files for patching/updating purposes Chill and Go with the flow ~d[o_o]b~ @YT - youtube.com/user/SuperHack333/videos Specs: MDL: Dell G7 15 7590 (Laptop) OPS: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit CPU: Intel Core i7-9750h @ 2.60 Ghz ~ 4.50 Ghz GPU: Nvidia GTX 1660 Ti 6GB GDDR6 @ 1455 Mhz ~ 1590 Mhz RAM: Micron Tech. 8GB DDR4 @ 2666 Mhz (4x2) |
