But now ppsspp automaticaly updated to 0.9.9 and this game started to run at a much slower speed. I've checked the new option "disable slower effects" but no result. It's possible to downgrade to 0.9.8 on android? RE: Tactics ogre : Let us cling together I think this game uses a block transfer for mostly pointless reasons. You can disable that setting in Graphics, second thing down (it's the first checkbox you'll see.) -[Unknown] i was having the same problem has you and the tip above, that unknow posted worked for me!!! |

RE: Tactics ogre : Let us cling together
Huh, I shouldn't have bothered with the update..
Whenever I use the 'Fast Forward' it like flickers black and just spazzes out. Nothing too bad, the game already fast enough to not warrant it but it just a little peeve.. Running a Galaxy S4 @ 1.9Ghz if it matters, the block transfer and all that new jazz they added is off as well; only seems to happen with this game though.. Just finished with that new resolution option, I ended up screwing around and made it 5x! Had to delete my settings for it to be fixed.. oh well. |

RE: Tactics ogre : Let us cling together
The game crashes for me after the first talk of the game when Demnam invites Lanselot to some place, the screen goes black, sometimes crashe.
I'ver turned off a lot of settings and the far I can go is a NOW LOADING that loads forever! I'm using the lastest version of the ppsspp for android and i'm using a Moto X. What should I do? Thanks, |

Oizo, I've had this problem before. It stopped when I used a 'patched' version of the game, try looking around for one with this title and try it.

RE: Tactics ogre : Let us cling together
For those who took the dive to buy the new NVIDIA Shield Tablet, here are the best settings I could find after messing with it for a few hours (see images). Audio latency is set to high (seems to eliminate most, if not all, garbled sound). Tablet performance is set to max spec in the Power Control panel.
Keep in mind that these settings are best only if you want a fully playable experience including audio. It runs at a solid 40 fps with these settings. The video settings can be set higher with a full 60 fps experience if you disable audio or don't care about bad sound. If I find any more improvements I'll edit this post to reflect that. |

The sprites are very blocky and hard to look at, regardless of the place, whether in battle or during cutscenes. Any solutions to this? I'm having this exact same issue on a tablet I acquired recently. I'm using a HUAWEI S7-702u, GPU Info: Model PowerVR SGX 540. OpenGL ES 2.0 Build 1.9@230980. Android 4.1.2. In-menu units all look good, very detailed. But in battle and cutscenes they look blocky and low res. What could it be? Rendering Resolution? I've tried adjusting that but it doesn't get better. |

RE: Tactics ogre : Let us cling together
I've run into an issue when playing maps with rainy weather. Normally it runs fine with the settings I've posted above, but whenever I do top-down view the frame rate takes a noticeable hit (2~13 fps, averages about a 6 fps dip). No settings tweak I've tried "fixes" it other than cranking frameskip up to 6. Was wondering if anyone else has encountered this issue on Android on 0.9.9. (Don't have this problem on Windows).

You can turn off "Simulate Block Transfer" to gain a significant performance boost in this game with no graphical side-effects. (up to 2x more speed.) RE: Tactics ogre : Let us cling together
Ok I know i may be getting close to crossing a line when I ask this but what do you mean by "patched" version? I know about patching these games and such with mods/hacks but when searching for info on a patched Tactics Ogre I get too many results and no clear insight as to what I'm actually looking for.
