RE: Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep
Edit: Added Screen Shots
I skimmed through most of the posts here, and didn't see this mentioned yet. I recently upgraded to version .9.9.0. Had the Corrupt Save issues that other people had, and fixed that. Playing the game, all the end cutscenes, and secret movies are all low res, grainy, and blurry. But only those scenes. I play the rest of the game with 7X Rendering, Buffered, Shader Options On, and AA set to X16. Everything looks fantastic, and runs great. Even the cutscenes are great. Only the end game scenes, and secret movies are different. I've toyed with many different graphics,and system settings with no success. I'm running the English Patched Final Mix if that matters any. My system is Win 7 Pro, and Nvidia Graphics Card, with all the latest updates. I believe I had version .9.4.0 before (can't remember since I deleted the whole folder). Never noticed this graphics anomaly on that version. Has anyone else had this come up, or know a fix? Using 32-Bit, or 64 Bit made no difference. I can try to get a couple screen shots later if that'll help. Thanks. Notice how the one with Aqua is crisp, clear, and in HD. The other one with the same settings is a bit jagged, and low res. |

The ones that looks crisp are being rendered in real time, therefore the visual enhancements that PPSSPP does (e.g. increased rendering resolution/filtering etc) are applied to them. The jagged ones are pre-recorded cutscenes at the PSP's native resolution of 480x272 and are just upscaled to fit your screen when viewed, therefore they look hideous. They are treated as videos, and were made with the PSP's own smaller and lower res screen in mind; they were never meant to be viewed on FHD/UHD/bigger sized screens. The game has a mixture of 3 types of cutscenes, afaik:- 1. Realtime rendered cutscenes - Best quality since it can be uprendered to the desired Rendering Resolution and have other forms of filtering/post-processing applied to it. Synonymous to actual gameplay. 2. Prerecorded CG cutscenes - Videos made using assets that are at a fidelity beyond anything you will see in game and then downsized to 480x272. Looks decent even at higher resolutions since it has its own pre-applied AA and fantastic production values. 3. Prerecorded cutscenes using ingame assets - Worst quality since they're recorded at 480x272 and PPSSPP can't do anything about it. PPSSPP Modern Testbed:- Intel Core i5 4690K @ 4.0 GHz NVIDIA Geforce GTX 760 2GB GDDR5 VRAM @ 1138/6500 Mhz 16 GB DDR3 RAM @ 1600 MHz Windows 7 x64 SP1 PPSSPP Ancient Testing Rig:- Intel Core 2 Duo T9550 @ 2.8GHz ATI Mobility Radeon 4670 1GB GDDR3 VRAM @ 843/882 MHz 8 GB DDR3 RAM @ 1066 MHz Windows 7 x64 SP1 |

RE: Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep
Hey guys I have a problem, I downloaded the latest version of PPSSPP today 0.9.9. Anyways I load up my final episode of kingdom hearts birth by sleep final mix (English patched) save from another emulator Jpcsp to play the final episode I defeated terra-xehanort and terra-xehanort with his shadowy buddy the two bosses after that the cut scenes comes in which aqua falls in darkness to save terra when this cutscene ends emulator crashes at the loading screen saying "PPSSPP has stopped working" debug or close program. I don't know where the log is or I would have posted here. So is it me or anyone else facing this problem as well.
P.s I am playing with default setting didn't change a thing. entire game runs fine except this part. And one more thing It use to crash at the same place in JPCSP as well. |

I think PPSSPP hasn't fixed it yet. |

You can watch the extra movie in theater menu. I think it's the only way now |

I guess I will have you use someone else save game |

RE: Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep
There is nothing strange about it.
Can you post your save to see if it crashed here too(I tried the "Last Episode" yesterday by using my save and I was able to clear the game without any problems) Using PPSSPP on Windows 7 x64 SP1 i7 4771 3.5Ghz,GTX750TI,16GB RAM Batch iso <=> cso converter http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=5384 Save Game\States Manager http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=5516 |

It won't be a problem if you post all of them,just archive all of them first in a single archive.
I know all of those folders but not ULJM05775data Using PPSSPP on Windows 7 x64 SP1 i7 4771 3.5Ghz,GTX750TI,16GB RAM Batch iso <=> cso converter http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=5384 Save Game\States Manager http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=5516 |

I would love to post all my save would that ULJM05775DATA is about 590mb it would be really difficult for me to post it. I guess this folder is related to data install option in the games main menu I choose 600mb option btw I played the game in 32bit version of the emulator and it didn't crashed at all yuppieeee . if you still want my save to test and debug I can give you all my folders except that data one uploading it might be a problem for me. |

RE: Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep
Ah yes,that could be it.
Yes upload only the saves,without the install data. Btw did you ever tried to see if the bug still exist if the install data is not in the savedata folder(there is absolutely no point it having it,only certain games need it and this is not one of them) Try adding something to the name(so that the game won't find it)and try game again I'm also going to try it on 32bit windows so if you are saying that it works fine on 32bit widows,there is no point trying it here Using PPSSPP on Windows 7 x64 SP1 i7 4771 3.5Ghz,GTX750TI,16GB RAM Batch iso <=> cso converter http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=5384 Save Game\States Manager http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=5516 |
