Final Fantasy Type-0

RE: Final Fantasy Type-0
I think it may. I remember reading this was a problem with the ISO on 32-bit operating systems, which includes Android but not Windows. Could be something we could improve.

Under what settings? I just tried both non-buffered and buffered on the latest available ppsspp (v0.9.8-1088-ga31194a) and it still doesn't show the cut scenes during the game (keep in mind that the intro videos are not the problem here but the videos during gameplay).

Also I'm referring to the PATCHED ISO (english translated by Sky), and not the original japanese ISO only (UMD1/UMD2) because the unPatched works fine with the cut scenes.

It's only after Patching the ISO (bloating from a 1.7gb to a 2.8gb size) that the cut scenes show only black during the game.

The buildbot is lagging behind, so the fix isn't posted yet, sadly.

I got too impatient so I set up a build environment and built a debug one myself.

mhuang.net/PPSSPP-debug.apk

I still get crashes on the beginning of cutscenes sometimes. Someone please mirror it. Also I can't post links yet...

RE: Final Fantasy Type-0
PROBLEM : Characters have white shadows.

TROUBLESHOOT:

1. Non-buffered rendering actually removes your shadow and makes big shadowy black blocks under your feet.
2. Buffered rendering gives you white shadows.
3. Read framebuffers to memory (CPU) removes your shadow, and DOES NOT give you the shadowy black blocks.
4. Read framebuffers to memory (GPU) ^

So I'm unable to find a SOLUTION. I want normal shadows, and no graphical glitch.

Maybe the solution is in another option?

the latest automated build fixes this issue. i was playing for around an hour and the shadows were perfect.

i started getting pretty huge lag after the cutscene with that huge monster a few minutes into the game. the game would run smooth and randomly drop to single digit fps for a few seconds when i killed a miniboss/triggered certain scenes. is this a known issue or just my pc being crappy? still playable though so im not super worried about it.

Maybe your gpu is dropping clocks? Check with gpuz or something. I had to made a tool to keep my radeon's clock on high for emulators. Hmmm.... maybe I should call the tool radeon_weed.

RE: Final Fantasy Type-0
This game really hates upscaling. Fps drops so bad every cutscenes when it is turned on.
Any way to have upscaling without the lag?
