Almost everything I know in english, I learned since I joined to the forum (a bit more than 1 year). I'm suprised how fast I learned a lot of words, but I don't know much about grammar.

I'm watching some videos on youtube and I'm learning some pronunciations. The videos are good. Maybe you should try.
I still understand few things they say, but at least I can learn something.

well you can learn in any ways, for ex watching movies, playing games, but one of my fav is learning it trough watching anime, it's fun and refreshing, i learn it since elementary school, i dunno why i liked it, until now, i can speak like "nigga" baby, sorry no offense here ladies and gents, i rarely learn about prounciactions, sometime remembering one word on translation books a day is very useful too...

So play GTA with sounds and subtitles in English!! Other idea is to watch some American TV series, like “How I Met Your Mother” and the incredible “The Big Bang Theory”!!

I was facing the same problem, I was lacking people willing to talk in english with me, I gone to London for about three months, i still remember the first 2 days, they were pretty tough, but after that I learnt a bit. Personally speaking (being Italian) the main issue is to use the correct accent with every word (I hear a lot of common mistakes with "apple", "unable" "kingdom" etcetera).

You would be surprised of how many asian people I got to know in London, thailand people, chinese and japanese too (though the latter were just a less common). But I know how you feel, I'm studing the japanese language as a hobby (and I'm finding kanji a bit tricky). Just keep going and you will make it
