RE: Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops
Background music (and some other stuff like enemy radio chatter) will disappear after the alert phase has ended. The BGM will sometimes (rarely) start playing again after member change. Haven't experienced any other problems. Using 64-bit version of v0.96-367-gc176d09.

RE: Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops
I think he means sensitivity.. fine as it is IMO..
PS: if your having sensitivity issues, ppsspp is not the problem.. maybe your firmware. Edit: lag could be the cause.. S TO DA G |

RE: Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops
Just started playing this game on 0.9.6-535 64 bit. Couldn't help noticing that the screen flashes red briefly after loading a savestate, though things still seem to work okay. Is this anything to worry about? I'm running the PAL verison of the game if it matters.

Portable Ops: input lag
Hello, whenever I try to play metal gear solid portable ops I get very noticable input lag, meaning I press a button and it only reacts half a second later. I'm playing with a ps3 controller and I don't get this lag for any other games I tried.

RE: Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops
I have a strange issue, probably due to the .cso file I'm running.
I downloaded a ripped version of MGSPO wich allegedly contains only italian language and weights 843MB. When I load the game onto the emulator, it shows the memory card checking logo, then the konami logo, then the kojima logo and then cycles back to the konai logo and the kojima logo over and over again. I can't skip those and I can't play the game. I'm using ppsspp 0.9.8, but I had the same issue with a previous release (0.8.something). Any advice? Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops
Uh... I need some help. Okay, has anybody here downloaded MGSPO and got it to work? I actually own the game, its just that I have no idea how to get it from the disc onto a tablet (android, galaxy tab 2) so I figured I would download it. Any suggestions on where to get it? I actually did download it from one website, but it was only 810 megabytes, and I'm pretty sure the actual game is 845-850 megabytes, and it wouldn't work. I need it in english. Thanks for any help!

RE: Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops
Hi there,
First off do not ask for where to download games as piracy is not tolerated on these forums, but as you have your own copy of the game on UMD. Then read this on how to rip copies of your own UMD's found here: http://www.ppsspp.org/faq.html If you ask again, you will probably be banned. |

RE: Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops
I have a problem. Yesterday I got MGS-PO from my friend. I checked the file and it's name was: Metal Gear Solid - Portable Ops.cso. When I try to play it, it won't work. I mean: upon loading it to PPSSPP, it stays black for a second and says that PPSSPP has stopped working, and the emulator closes. Could somebody help me with that?
Edit: I forgot telling you. It's the NTSC version (ULES). I tried with the PAL (ULUS) version, and it works perfectly. The problem is a matter of taste: I don't like PAL versions. Prefer NTSC. |

RE: Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops
So... my old computer couldn't cope with PPSSPP, but I recently got a new computer, and I thought about trying Portable Ops with it since it doesn't have any "HD version" and probably never was.
The game runs perfectly with the latest version, and I can put all the scaling options to the max. But... it doesn't goes above 20 FPS... which is kind of crappy. Now my understanding is that the game is capped like this. Is there no way to remove this cap ? I noticed there is a "unthrottle" and "speed toggle" option that makes the emulation goes faster... but then on my PC it goes at like 150 or 200 VPS so it's completly unplayable, but I was wondering if there is anyway to "cap" this VPS to something like 30 or 60 FPS ? This could do Wonder. Thanks -Sergorn |
