I'm assuming I am, the version is 0.9.6.2.
The month the mission happens in is in march I believe

i'm running 0.9.6-190-gcaofd61 64 bit, which i grabbed last Friday. I'm slowly progressing but it might be another couple of days till i reach that point. I imagine i'll be forced to skip the FMV the same as you were. Can you reproduce the crash and post the error log? While i don't have the means to make use of the log, there is certainly other people who browse these forums, that would be able to make use of it. They might be able to isolate the problem if you can do that. Referencing this thread here http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=1757 it looks like you need to create a folder called USER in the emulator's main folder then inside of that folder make another one called Logs. After doing that ppsspp should start creating logs, when you want it to not make them anymore, just delete the folders again.

I've already saved past that point but if I run into another problem which hopefully doesn't happen, I will correctly post the log but thanks for the advice.

Well if i manage to run into the crash when I get there, i'll see about getting a log to post on here.

A log and a savestate before killing the last enemy/capturing/etc. would be helpful.

the log i can provide once i get far enough, the savestate wouldn't be of much use, because of the problems i was having with them before(due to DLC characters unlocked)

There was a pull request recently that fixed that, actually, if you use the latest git build.

I will look into grabbing the latest version and testing that out, I will edit this post after i do that.

tested with ppsspp 0.9.6-245-g0fcdd42, and i can confirm that savestates are indeed working with DLC chars now(deployed or reserve) no more infinite black screen after loading a state and taking an action with a character. Thank you very much for that fix, i hadn't expected to see it for at least a week, if not longer.

Okay I have gotten to and completed VIP Escort in March. I was unable to reproduce the freeze mentioned by Vedil. I have a savestate right at the end of the mission if someone wanted it for testing purposes. However i have been unable to add it to this post, i just get 30-60sec of loading when i try then "the connection to the server was reset" Tried about 5 times now to attach it to this post.

I haven't had any issues with DLC characters, and DLC weapons isn't a big deal since you can get multiple copies of the same weapon to make sure you have at least one character deployed.

In VC3 however, Aces only drop one copy of their weapon, making savestates essentially unusable.
