PPSSPP much better on much worse phone (XPERIA NEO V vs XPERIA J)
I am able to play Locoroco in 60fps on my almost three years old xperia neo v. It has one core cpu and ridiculously low ram. Recently I acquired new phone, xperia J, which has a single core processor, more ram, better graphics etc. But the game works terribly, even with the same settings (except for enabled multithreading). I've tried every combination of setting and the performance is still around 15-20fps with very laggy sound. WHy is that, why is so much better device giving me much worse results?

the emulator performance varies on certain smartphones, regardless if they are older or newer model. Probably the new Xperia has some features that may affect the performance of the emulator.

o.o Oh Hi XD

Windows 7 Home Basic (32bit)

It seems like GPU driver quality is a bigger performance differentiator than specs on Android... annoyingly enough.

Also, how can you use multithreading with single core?

Catch me if you can't catch me if you can't Cats are nice.

RAM doesn't mean much, and xperia neo v specs are better than xperia j, adreno 205>200, Scorpion>A5

Samsung Captivate, Android 2.3.5 SAUROM, Corn Kernel v701
Fly Evo Chic 3, Android 4.4.2 Stock, improved stock kernel

The Xperia Neo V has the same hardware as Xperia Play, so I think the performance is the same, or nearly so.

Phones: Poco F3 8GB/256GB (Snapdragon 870 5G) and Redmi Note 6 Pro 4/64GB (Snapdragon 636)

PC: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 / 16GB RAM DDR4 3600MHz / NVIDIA GTX 1660 Ti 6GB / Windows 10 Pro
