RE: Valkyria Chronicles II
how exactly do i turn off fast memory? I can't seem to find it in any of the menus, including the "more settings" one. Currently running ppsspp 0.9.6 190 64 bit for windows

RE: Valkyria Chronicles II
oh i see it now, okay turned that off. Should be fun to see how good/bad this game is. I'm glad I have a wired 360 controller i can use for playing.

RE: Valkyria Chronicles II
sorry for the double post, but where exactly do I place my ps3 save from the first game within ppsspp's folders? Trying to use it to unlock Isara. If I try to use the code from gamefaqs to unlock her, it ends up being longer then what i'm allowed to put in.

RE: Valkyria Chronicles II
You would likely pyt it in the SAVEDATA folder. However that is unnecessary as all the passwords work so long as you use the English full-width font. That said it looks like they recently changed the OSK so it only shows 15 spaces at a time and it won't advance to the 16nth one until you enter the fifteenth character. I'll include screen shots to show what I mean. The first one will contain the first fifteen letters the second will be what it looks like after inputting the sixteenth and the third is the result of Isara being unlocked.

and they uploaded in the reverse order of the one I selected them in.

RE: Valkyria Chronicles II
thank you very much, it seems the problem was that i was not using the english full width font when putting in the password. On a side note, putting the save into the savedata folder, resulted in it not being detected by the game.

RE: Valkyria Chronicles II
I'm glad I was able to help you with the passwords. About the PS3 save that was really just my best guess on it based on where you put the Phantasy Star Portable 2 save. I just looked it up on gamefaqs though and it looks like it goes inside a "SAVEDATA" folder inside a "PS3" folder that would be located beside the "psp" folder on an actual psp. Now I'm not sure if the same will work on PPSSPP but it shouldn't be necessary if you've gotten the passwords to work.

RE: Valkyria Chronicles II
on a side note, in response to unknowns post on the last page......savestates do not work fine. I've tried using them on a couple different missions(no DLC) in a few different spots to say fix a mistake i made and the result was getting a black screen as soon as 1-2 people performed an action after loading the state(after finishing using them and hitting start screen would go black and would be forced to restart the emulator, though music could still be heard in the background)

RE: Valkyria Chronicles II
It works perfectly fine for me, I can play through several phases after loading a state, load it again, do different things, everything works fine.

Are you using default settings? What platform? Are you absolutely sure you have no DLC?

RE: Valkyria Chronicles II
Go to VC2 folder
Cutpaste Data1 somewhere
Delete the save folder of VC2
Open the game, let it create the save folder again
Paste Data1 back to that folder

see it you fix that, load it from the save, not savestate just in case the savestate is corrupted

RE: Valkyria Chronicles II
I've unlocked a couple of chars with passwords, but i haven't been using them during missions. I assume save states would only have problems if i was using a DLC character or weapon during a mission. Using default settings outside of having turned off fast memory and the fact i use a wired 360 controller instead of the keyboard controls(emulator auto configured the controller for me) It should also be noted that i let the game install its data(400mb or so) for faster loading times.

Lets say for example i deploy Avan Zeri Helmut and Lotte to a mission(pretty sure these are not DLC chars) and use a save state during it. After i take 1 action with anyone after loading the state, black screen.

EDIT
The DLC chars i unlocked though ARE part of the group i set up to deploy from so they are considered possible reinforcements(though not part of the initially deployed), could that be the cause of the problem?

Yeah, I think that is indeed the problem. I didn't realize that was all that was needed to reproduce it.

I'll see if I have some time soon to try to fix that issue.

Okay on an interesting note firing off a mortar shot from my tank causes a whopping drop from 100.1% clear down to 63% for the duration of its blast. System specs are win 7 64 bit professional, 12GB RAM, CPU is an i7-3770 @ 3.40GHz Graphics card is an Nvidia GeForce GT 620. Similar effects such as an ordinary grenade going off cause no slowdown at all.

RE: Valkyria Chronicles II
Hello everyone, I have a situation. I've been playing the game on pc flawlessly but for some reason the game crashes at the same point every time, it's the FMV directly after the VIP escort mission. I've read through the thread and tried turning off fast memory but that didn't work. Awesome emulator though, best I've seen in awhile.

Edit: Didn't know the FMV's were skippable lol guess I'll look them up on youtube or something
