Crashes on startup
Hello guys. Great emulator here, I have a problem.

I last tried the emulator two weeks ago and it loaded fine. Now I downloaded the lastest revision and it crashes when I start a game. Any game for that matter. And so I went back to the one that worked prior and now that crashes as well. The whole "Windows is trying to resolve the problem" thing happens.

Could someone help?

EDIT: I read that folks updated their graphics card and this problem occured with them. Well that's funny because I updated my graphics card recently....maybe the registry files are the problem? While I'm at it.

What can I achieve with these specs?

Nvidia GeForce 7025 nforce 630a
AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 4600+ (2.4 GHz)
2048 GB RAM (1.87 used)

RE: Crashes on startup
Sorry, I accidentally broke Windows XP support in the latest version. It'll be fixed soon.

Specs:

Intel Core 2 Duo 2.2
4Gb Ram
Intel Gma 965 (X3100)
Windows 7 Ultimate 64Bits

Hmm. Could you try a couple versions in between to see which commit broke it?

For example, if you know it works in -800, and it's broken in -946, try -875. If it works in -875, try -912, etc. This would help a lot to figure out the cause.

But the build that DID work doesn't. It was the latest stable build 0.61. Now it doesn't. I'm beginning to think its because I updated my drivers....which is preposterous. No offense to anyone of course.

RE: Crashes on startup
The problem seems to be this with Intel Gma 965 in version 901:
Make un-buffered rendering much smarter, removing flicker.
This turns it into a very viable option for many games. You do lose some FX
but it can as a result even be used as a workaround for the massive glow
in Wipeout...

I'm unsure what this has to do with my thread....

I hope Hendrik or someone can assist.

This issue has been resolved, I rolled back to the 2010 driver(new driver was 2013, weird as gently caress that it didn't work).
