Exist this adapter for phones?
Well, I know that we can do many things in our phones, like use an OTG cable for connecting pen driver, joystick, keyboard and something else. But I want to know if is possible connect a AV cable (of a PS2, for example) in our phones. Well, maybe it's a idiot question, but I'm curious. I'd like to connect my PS2 to my phone, lol. Tongue
You should be thinking I'm crazy, but I think it would be cool. Smile

Phones: Poco F3 8GB/256GB (Snapdragon 870 5G) and Redmi Note 6 Pro 4/64GB (Snapdragon 636)

PC: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 / 16GB RAM DDR4 3600MHz / NVIDIA GTX 1660 Ti 6GB / Windows 10 Pro

Hey bro, i don’t know from what part of Brazil you are, but if you live in São Paulo, try to call to some store (search in google and you probably find) in Sta. Efigênia.

If there is some kind of connector or alternative solution, they will know and they will have!!

It is the best place in SP for tech stuff!!

Good luck!!

I was an Xperia Play gamer until my dog ate my beloved phone!

Now I’m an Xperia ZL/ZQ gamer!

It works better, but i miss the gamepad!! T_T'

I did already search, and not found nothing similar in Google, and I live in interior of Brazil, I don't have many options. I thought anyone here would know. On second thought, it seems a crazy idea. Thanks anyways.

RE: Exist this adapter for phones?
it's possible, but not for amateurs.
there are USB-based capture "cards" that act like a webcam, which could work over an OTG cable if you manage to write a webcam driver for your device as well as a camera app capable of switching to a 3rd camera.

if you're really lucky, some older chinese tablets may already have some generic webcam drivers which would allow you to view ps2/vcr/dvd/older consoles in any camera app.

RE: Exist this adapter for phones?
Hey man, I don’t think it’s a crazy idea!! To be honest, it seemed really useful!

I did a little research and it seems that it’s theoretically possible!! But I haven’t found anyone who have tested to see if it works on android!!

You would have to buy a cable like this: http://dx.com/p/ps2-to-ps3-controller-ad...lack-56393

And then, you would have to buy this: http://www.amazon.com/CNE16187-Micro-USB...B005QX7KYU

The only problem now is to know if the current android controller apps would recognize the controller, because it’s a “gambiarra”!! =/

Heiwasan, I think you don't understood which I mean. I think you understood that I wanna connect a PS2 controller to my phone, but I wanna connect my PS2 in my phone. Tongue
I already have an OTG cable and I use my controller USB, the same as I use in my PC.

You mean use your phone as a monitor?
If so, it may be possible.. not sure.
Only thing I can think of is streamin to your phone, which is very possibleSmile gl

Exactly. But I don't see anyway to stream the image from PS2 to my phone.

Owww! Sorry man!! I read again the first post, and you’re right!! Sorry, I misunderstood!! =p

The best solution then:

But to be honest, I’m pretty disappointed with kainy!! It worked well on Xperia Play!! Now, with Xperia ZQ (or ZL), isn’t really working!! The strange thing is that ZQ is much better than Play!! =/

RE: Exist this adapter for phones?
I have a bad PC to use kainy, I already made it, and I played NFSU2 "fine", but the NFSMW was running with a lot of lag (this game without the kainy runs at about 10 FPS, with kainy is much more slow). The other disadvantage is map the controls, is very complicated. We need find all keys and position it on the screen, and every games has differents controls.

True!! Kainy mapping control is terrible at first!! But, when you understand the logic, it becomes easier!!
