Speed problem
With the latest daily releases - 0.9.5 and after - i noticed that most NTSC games now play 30/30 instead of 60/60 they used to play before 0.9.5

It is not a problem with my Windows PC as using TAB i reach a steady 290+ FPS.

I tried Vsync off but still almost all NTSC games reach a max of 30/30.

Anyone has a solution? Is there something that i am missing? Can i force PPSSPP to NTSC standards?

RE: Speed problem
Just to point out something. Anything higher than, say, 75 fps is just wasting your device's strength. Turn it down to around 75 and it won't work as hard for no reason. =D

RE: Speed problem
Did you try to adjust the PSP clock speed in System settings? If so set it to 0 and restart to be sure.

I tried with 0 and 333. Same thing, almost everything tops at 30/30. Curiously Wipeout Pure runs at 60/60

Is it possible that ppsspp reads my PC configuration and turns into PAL (50Hz) mode instead of NTSC(60Hz)? Still that doesn't explain the 30/30... i should get 50/50 in PAL mode...

RE: Speed problem
Well there really are a lot of PSP games that only run at 30/30 no matter what you do. A few of them, including Wipeout, will adjust if you drop the cpu frequency too low.

Can you give me an example of a game that ran 60/60 in 9.1 and 30/30 in 9.5?

Two recent ones i tried:

Colin McRae - 60/60 in 0.9.1, 30 in 0.9.5
MidnightClub 3 - 60/60 in 0.9.1, 30 (sometimes goes up to 40) in 0.9.5

Both have slightly scratchy sound in 0.9.5. Maybe it is a sound problem that drops the speed?

RE: Speed problem
Colin McRae:

Unchecking "Prevent FPS from exceeding 60" doesn't change the FPS (it is still 30/30) but it now plays much smoother!

RE: Speed problem
Tried 0.9.5-273. I noticed that if i turn Multi-threading off in the Settings, Colin McRae game now runs at a constant 60/60
