Better Visuals? (Android v9.1 google play one)
Is there a way to get the pixelated visuals of the Non-Buffered mode in Buffered mode?

I LIKE the clear, sharp, jagged pixels of unbuffered mode. But I cannot get the speed to play games like Buffered mode.

Buffered mode looks blurry/fuzzy like it is using a filter, even when all filters in buffered mode are off =/

Non-Buffered mode Sharp pixels = GOOD! ^_^

Buffered mode = Blurry/fuzzy filter I cannot seem to turn off = BAD! =(

Henrik? Anyone? Can I get my sharp pixels in buffered mode please? I have Cake...with strawberries! =D

change the resolution make it 2x PSP or higher (but will decrease speed)

dload the latest here http://buildbot.orphis.net/ppsspp/

then change the resolution in the "Graphics option"

Looks exactly the same with every option provided. This is why I thought there was an automatic filter applied to the Buffered mode.

Even at the highest scale settings and all combinations. It seems to stay blurry.

Also I don't use apk's outside of google play. For security purposes.

0.9.1 googplay release only has FXAA right?

its safe to download in the above link,
i've been downloading since january & i dont get any virus whatsoever.
u could install antivirus first if u want safety.

or if u dont really want then im in no position to argue. Smile

Thanks I have Stuff already but this is a little different perhaps than what I am asking.

Android looks like it already uses a filter by default with no apparent off switch when using Buffered mode. I simply want buffered mode to LOOK like Un-Buffered mode on screen.

Dunno if there is a default filter but it sure is a huge difference in visuals =/

nah..
thats just how buffered rendering works.. it ruins the graphics. if u want sharp image in buffered mode, all u can do is change the Rendering Resolution then restart the game.

maybe read here..

Oh...yer kidding? Then why on the front page there are perfectly clear screenshots? Do you know if those are un-buffered mode screenshots?

yes..
if they are clear & not pixelated.
no doubt, they are non-buffered or fxaa on/resolution 2x or above

MMmmmmkk, which leads me to my next question. Why not just turn off FXAA by default? o_O

FXAA no longer exist on latest builds. it was replaced by Rendering Resolution.

AAhhh...I see and as such (in latest build after google play updates) will look pixelated(such as unbuffered look?)?

RE: Better Visuals? (Android v9.1 google play one)
what do u mean? (sorry, poor english, not my native)

if u mean builds now are pixelated, it is really pixelated when buffered rendering is ON.. its clear & sharp looking hd when NON-buffered rendering is ON.
its just how the way it is.. i dont know if henrik has a solution for buffered games's graphics (except rendering resolution, bcoz it slows down the performance)

RE: Better Visuals? (Android v9.1 google play one)
FXAA still exists in Postprocessing and requires buffered rendering.

To get sharp graphics when using buffered rendering, set Rendering Resolution to Auto or some high number.
