RE: xlink kai
Hello everyone,

I'm new to this discussion and very interested in the multiplayer function on the ppsspp emulator. I hope Coldbird will get some free time to implement that function. I cant wait to play MGS PW cooperative.... But will it support LAN?Huh

It just get's me excited seeing this escalate from "probably not" to "maybe". Impatient? Hell, yes! Just think of the possibilities.

RE: xlink kai
Has not Coldbird said that the code is finished, that it just needs to be implemented in the emulator. Correct me if I'm wrong....

Yes, you are right Smile
His work has been done for playing online with a PSP, it needs to be adapted to work with PPSSPP Smile

RE: xlink kai
Is it that hard to just implement the code like a patch? I mean if the devs consider it not important now it's ok, after all, they are the ones who wrote the programm in the first place....Smile

Indeed, online support is not the priority for developers...
And I think it's better to let Coldbird do what he wants with his work, so we are waiting for him patiently Smile

RE: xlink kai
Well, until its done I'm gonna try multiplayer online with pcsx2.....
As for ppsspp I really hope some1 gives us some info or something so we know that the they work on the online features. But then again, the devs sure got lives too, so I'm not rushing anything, better late then never!

RE: xlink kai
Fact is the man had 3 jobs for a reason. Just because his contract ends doesn't mean he'll magically reduce his monetary needs. I'm guessing it's going to have to be the other developers like Coldbird said so before and for them it's not a very high priority (honestly, with the somewhat limited compatiblity of PRO online judging from my experience there are much better things to implement).

EDIT: Just to clarify, ain't sayng Pro is bad or anything. It's a wonderful thing of course and no disrespect towards coldbird Smile

RE: xlink kai
Hey guys, dropped in to give support for this. The emulator works great with the games my friend and I play, and really look forward to seeing this implementation a reality. I'll continue to wait patiently. XD

If people want to track things, the feature request is here: https://github.com/hrydgard/ppsspp/issues/2590

I'd love to see PRO Online implemented, since the game I play works in PPSSPP and it's supported by PRO Online, but I can't even read C++ let alone write the code needed to put the two together.

I only use PPSSPP on Windows.

Yeah, I'm gonna have to say the same. I'm sure it'd take a long time of scouring information to even feel I can contribute.

RE: xlink kai
I started porting colorbird code last week, it was pretty simple to implement the basic stuff but I still can't really test it because my psp hasn't arrived yet(I could try and run two instances of the emulator at a time, but I'd rather wait for a real psp to continue development). Once I have a decent enough version I'll post it here on the forums for you guys to test, but for god's sake don't expect much of the first iterations, it's going to be broken as hell.
