Attention: Intel Integrated Graphics Owners on Windows. Read This.
I've decided to open up this thread because of the numerous "PPSSPP has stopped working" posts in that other thread from people with Intel Integrated Graphics.
Let me just make this clear. To those of you with Intel Integrated Chipsets prior to the GMA 3000 and Intel HD series (plain HD Graphics/HD 2xxx/HD 3xxx/HD 4xxx/HD 5xxxx) on your laptop/desktop PC who wish to run PPSSPP on Windows. It is not going to happen. All you'll get is a "PPSSPP has stopped working" message. PPSSPP NEEDS your card/graphics chipset to be OpenGL 2.0 compliant (from Henrik's FAQ on the main webpage) and to also have the drivers that support it from Intel. In fact, why don't I make your lives easier and list out the Intel Integrated Graphics Cards that DO support PPSSPP (OpenGL 2.0 compliant) with the correct drivers from Intel:- (Get the latest drivers from Intel here.) (Use GPUz to quickly identify the make and model of your Intel Integrated Graphics Card.) Quote:Fourth generation:- The following cards are NOT OpenGL 2.0 compliant on Windows (either through capability or the lack of driver support), and if you have a card from this list, you are out of luck:- Quote:(Chipset names in parentheses) So either upgrade your graphics card, or get a new computer if you want to run PPSSPP and have an Intel graphics chipset from the list above. Posting your issue on the ppsspp forums won't do you any good, since all we'll do is just point out that you have an unsupported chipset for OpenGL 2.0 on Windows and tell you to do the same thing anyway. Thanks for reading. PPSSPP Modern Testbed:- Intel Core i5 4690K @ 4.0 GHz NVIDIA Geforce GTX 760 2GB GDDR5 VRAM @ 1138/6500 Mhz 16 GB DDR3 RAM @ 1600 MHz Windows 7 x64 SP1 PPSSPP Ancient Testing Rig:- Intel Core 2 Duo T9550 @ 2.8GHz ATI Mobility Radeon 4670 1GB GDDR3 VRAM @ 843/882 MHz 8 GB DDR3 RAM @ 1066 MHz Windows 7 x64 SP1 |

RE: Attention: Intel Integrated Graphics Owners on Windows. Read This.
I have the Intel GMA 3100 G33/G31. It really do not work. I want to install custom drivers with OpenGL 2.0 support, but I not found. I found a custom driver for Intel x3100, but I think is not my model, because I get error when I will install. This drive use codes of Intel HD Graphics drivers, and give much more performance on games. But have some issues, not is compatible with Aero theme and Windows Media Player.

the integrated card in the eight gen can offer the same performance of some of the best dedicated card on laptop XD (look for 650M vs intel5000)
Hey everybody, tired of the way games are reported here? look here ->> http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=5901 --Current Mobile device-- Htc one, Xplay, Walkman z, Samsung ace IIx (crap) --Current Computer-- 1x (e8200, shitty ram (3go), 9600gt) 1x (e6750, better ram (2go), no video card) 1x (i5-3210M, ram (4Go),650M) |

You mean the 650M (laptop) vs HD 5000 (desktop - Core i7), because the 650M (laptop) vs HD 5000 (laptop) have much difference.

AMD's got some nice options now tho! Might be time for me to upgrade the laptop. (Don't really mind right now tho, Samsung S2 handles the emulator quite well indeed...)
Just a question, did anyone test this on Hybrid Graphics or Optimus? (They tend to come with Intel 3000s) |

(Don't really mind right now tho, Samsung S2 handles the emulator quite well indeed...) Those should do just fine. Either card (integrated or dedicated) can be used for PPSSPP, with better results for the dedicated card obviously. HD 3000 also works fine for PPSSPP. Thanks for this bunch of useful info, solarmystic. I'd say that this should be sticked as an important thread.
Since English is not my first language sorry for some misspelling on my posts |

The only way to put OGL 2.1 to this is Linux. |

same apply to my netbook, gma 3150 is the suck and really bad driver, but usefull to play some games with 2gb ram of course, hmm,"direct x where are you?"
to think linux can support opengl 2.0 on intel gma3150,does the spec make different?,can't we force gma3150(window) to run opengl 2.0?,can we change the window system to linux to get opengl 2.0?, netbook spec: 1.66ghz window 7 proffesional intel graphic media accelarator 3150(modded sherry driver) direct x9.0,direct x10?,direct x11 opengl 1.4/1.5 2gb ram 250 hdd yeah i know it's a waste T.T my sub weapon: xperia mini hd 1ghz scorpion single core not clocked my ultimate weapon acer(laptop) 2.2ghz ?core intel media accelarator 3000 i'm a tester, but not as good as other, please be kind with me,haha. |

RE: Attention: Intel Integrated Graphics Owners on Windows. Read This.
is'nt it need as minimum is opengl 2.0 and not.2.1,gma x3100 have opengl 2.0 and it work right, but it not change the fact that my driver is the main factor right now,not to mention there's no new info about direct x version(except 360 port using direct x renderer)
no other choice than wait direct x,not sure about performance, but it will surely help people with "window has stopped working problem",some may resolve it by updating driver and some may not...intel make no sense. my sub weapon: xperia mini hd 1ghz scorpion single core not clocked my ultimate weapon acer(laptop) 2.2ghz ?core intel media accelarator 3000 i'm a tester, but not as good as other, please be kind with me,haha. |
