As for now PPSSPP can run only the latter due to a function not implemented yet. That black screen could be caused by the intro/ending movies, you can skip that by pressing select. If you are experiencing the issue ingame then it would be wise to tell us the specs of your pc. Since English is not my first language sorry for some misspelling on my posts |

RE: Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD VER
Moving saves between the two emulators is generally a Bad Idea™(because either PPSSPP or JPCSP is corrupting saves when going back and forth in some games, and I don't think anyone knows which is the culprit yet). If you absolutely must, make sure you have "Handle Savedata in Crypto mode" in JPCSP on, or whatever it's called. PPSSPP always encrypts its saves, afaik.

RE: Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD VER
I never said it was no, just that if you HAVE to, make sure "Handle Savedata in Crypto mode" is ON in JPCSP.

RE: Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD VER
Hi! I am having a few issues with the game. Do you guys know how can I fix any of them?
1. Sound tearing in Yukumo village (it is very noticeable in sfx, actually it might only be the sfx that tears). 2. The butterflying texture thingy (very noticeable in the farm. Why butterflying? Because when I first saw that error in the game I mistook it for butterflies). Screenshot: http://postimg.org/image/4nip0vi25/ |

RE: Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD VER
About #2, what platform are you running the game on? Windows? If so, what GPU do you have, and what revision of the emu are you using? For me, in 9.1-15, on my NVidia 670, I have no such issue:

RE: Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD VER
Windows 8 64 bit, AMD 6870. I always use the latest rev, in this case v0.9.1-15 (it's still present). There are some times though when the issue is not present at all, same settings and all, very weird if you ask me.
It might be from the GPU, I heard there are problems with AMD GPUs in general. EDIT: So I made a little experiment and here is what I found out. When I first start a instance of the emulator and start the game, the issue is not present, but here is the problem, you see, I like booting the game up in full screen. So? well let me tell you. When I do that some little weird lines appear near the capcom and dolby logo. So what do I do? well I exit the game, not the emulator, and boot it again. TADA! lines are gone, but then the butterflying texture error appears. So yea... story of my life. |
