The only patch that works to fix the slowdown is the EU version, which can be found on ffhackticks.com. It also plays nicely with other patches, so you can apply it to an already patched ISO, as long as the ISO is PAL (eu) version.

FWIW, having the ppf patched version of the slowdown fix will negate the psp hack fix, so only use one or the other.

Where did you get the whole iso patch and the patcher on that website?

I only found the LivePatch version, and that uses the LivePatch software which will not work on PPSSPP until the emulator supports SEPLUGINS (sprx and prx plugins)

That was quick, but yup, that's it. If you scroll through the thread, you'll see one that's supposed to be for the US version but I've tested it and it doesn't work. The patcher for it is ppf-o-matic if that's what you meant.

Either way, no plugins required and I've tested it both on the PSP and on PPSSPP for the PC. It works on both, and works with my patch so I can include it with my own PPF (with credits of course).

Not that it matters for this site, but i'll reiterate in better words for those who are running it on a PSP, you can't have the live patch and the PPF at the same time. They cancel each other out and bring back the slowdown.

I tested it a couple of weeks ago, so I haven't tried/seen that one.

Yep it works. It didn't the first time for some reason but I ripped the ISO again and it worked. Just make sure the MD5 thing matches.

Download the latest PPF patch from here then download PPF-O-Matic from here. Run PPF-O-Matic, browse for the ISO and the PPF file then hit apply. Make sure you're using the USA version.

This does not remove the slowdown, and my before and after match up with his so I know its patched correctly.

The patch must be used on a EUR iso, not USA, it will not work otherwise.

The link in question is about the US version of the same patch and people confirming and denying its viability. I can 100% confirm the EU version as working, and that looks like the same post I got the US version from for testing and it did not work for me, but I can't tell ya if the link of that post has been updated or not.

Though, to me, it sounds like it does not work still.

This patch? And you tried it on a freshly ripped USA ISO? Because it works fine for me.

As it should be. I still have no clue why Square decided to slow the animations down like that on the PSP. It looks terrible.
