RE: The 3rd Birthday
In the newest builds, some sounds are way louder than others... the volume just seems uneven.

RE: The 3rd Birthday
@Devina, that's a consequence of this commit:-

https://github.com/hrydgard/ppsspp/commi...1490ae251c

Only way around it is to set both your SE and BGM volume to the max 8/8 and then lower the global volume levels in the Windows audio panel for ppsspp.

That way you get even volumes for all atrac3+ BGMs, CG BGMs and atrac3(which are not controlled by the ppsspp volume controls at the moment) and sound fx.

PPSSPP Modern Testbed:-
Intel Core i5 4690K @ 4.0 GHz
NVIDIA Geforce GTX 760 2GB GDDR5 VRAM @ 1138/6500 Mhz
16 GB DDR3 RAM @ 1600 MHz
Windows 7 x64 SP1

PPSSPP Ancient Testing Rig:-
Intel Core 2 Duo T9550 @ 2.8GHz
ATI Mobility Radeon 4670 1GB GDDR3 VRAM @ 843/882 MHz
8 GB DDR3 RAM @ 1066 MHz
Windows 7 x64 SP1

RE: The 3rd Birthday
That's extremely inconvenient. I also noticed the same issue, with some sounds being louder than others in Persona 3. :/

yep, basically any game that is using atrac3 only audio for its BGM will be affected.

As compared to atrac3+ audio.

We need more details:-

1. What are your PC's specifications?

2. What is the precise emulator revision you're using?

3. Please provide a logfile (double click on Log.bat, then play the game until it hangs your computer)

4. Or, provide the savefile from the game so we can reproduce the issue for you and fix it (you can upload it here using the attachment system, zip it up to a .zip file)

Intel Core i5 4690K @ 4.0 GHz

Thanks for the response.

1. Try using the latest dev builds here and try again, to see whether it hangs your PC:-

http://buildbot.orphis.net/ppsspp/

2. You can use mediafire.com to upload your savefile for testing and share the link here.

3. Also use the same method to attach the log file please. We really need this as it should tell us when exactly it hung.

Procedure to generate a logfile for diagnostic purposes:-

1. Double click on the Log.bat file in the ppsspp folder.

2. PPSSPP will launch automatically

3. Load the game and savefile

4. Play until your PC hangs

5. Close the program

6. Head to your ppsspp folder (where you keep the emulator) and head to the User\Logs subfolder to find the ppsspp.log file.

7. Upload the file to a filehoster like Mediafire.com, and share the link in your next post. Zip it up if it's too big into a rar/zip file.

Thanks.

RE: The 3rd Birthday
some issues (minor but annoying)
HUD/text after prologue mission is blinking/missing/glitching.
sound, video is playing smoothly though
using 0.8 64 bit, win 8, i5, vaio

here's some pic
sometimes i get this glitch in mission

sometimes it's worse (only in my first gameplay)
http://zingme.us/files/de9a8a00da438797e...-37-18.png
other "closed" post about 3rd birthday also have exact problem i have

this is the main problem, text diplayed too fast, just blinking, cant read anything. i cant play without reading something Tongue

and lastly i got these error, i need to restart my laptop to fix this since graphic driver is crashed!
otherwise games so lagging.
anyway is there any way to repair without restart?

i tried using 0.76, text is showing but no sound and i can't seem to configure my controller. otherwise gampelay is smooth
is there any way to enable sound and change keys with 0.76?

RE: The 3rd Birthday
If you think your graphic drivers are causing the crashes then you may want to update them. They CAN fix some issue with graphics and instability. As a bonus it may but not always give you better FPS.

RE: The 3rd Birthday
i think i found a way to fix about that (without restarting laptop or update)
just go to device manager and then disable my VGA, enable again.

about fps, i hope they can fix it without sacrificing anything

RE: The 3rd Birthday
It's been renamed. It's now known as "Read Framebuffers to Memory(CPU)" and "Read Framebuffers to Memory(GPU)" in the graphics options(both NewUI and OldUI). CPU is for AMD/Intel/Android, and NVidia is better off using GPU, however, if you have a fast enough NVidia card, it doesn't matter which one you use.

In the INI it's now known as RenderingMode. 0 = off, 1= buffered, 2 = buffered + CPU, 3 = buffered + GPU. It's more or less been consolidated down to one option rules them all, except with the option of doing it via CPU(AMD/Intel/Android) or GPU(Nvidia).

4GHz AMD 3900X, 32GB DDR4 RAM, 6GB Nvidia RTX 2060, Asus Crosshair 7 Hero (Wifi), Linux
