RE: PPSSPP 1.6 released!
That's actually a bug in the actual game, normally reproducing game bugs that happens on real hardware on the emulator is great, however we track it in #10462 and probably will work around in the future ~ hopefully without breaking games that might save very large files(videos) or have very large dlc's(I know at least one weird japanese game with few gb's of dlc's which includes downloadable short anime series;p).

RE: PPSSPP 1.6 released!
Yeah, for anyone trying to get that to save - it's not random. It's based on how much storage space you have free.
Just imagine you upgrade to an 8GB memory stick on your real PSP, and now you can't save anymore in that game. True story - happens in both PPSSPP and on PSPs, unfortunately. It's all caused by the developer being bad at math. -[Unknown] |

RE: PPSSPP 1.6 released!
1.6.3 crashes a lot. Almost every rom crashes now. Downgraded back to 1.5.4 no more crashing.

RE: PPSSPP 1.6 released!
What device are you using? It definitely doesn't crash for everyone, so giving more detail on what you're using and why it's crashing for you might allow us to help.
Since you didn't say, I'm going to assume you're using a AMD K6-III+ desktop with a STB Velocity 4400 video card running Windows 98. So first off, your system is old. Way older than the PSP even. More importantly, we don't support Windows 98. Sorry, you'll need to upgrade. Joking aside - there's no way for anyone to help if all we can do is guess and make jokes about what kind of ancient hardware you could be using. If every game crashes, it definitely could be that your drivers don't support Vulkan or Direct3D 11 properly. We used to default to OpenGL, but we now default to the newer APIs (when your driver says they are supported) on desktop. If your drivers are broken, that could be why. I would recommend looking for updated drivers. -[Unknown] |

RE: PPSSPP 1.6 released!
This is gonna sound dumb, but I play Phantasy Star Portable on my ShieldTV in Multiplayer mode on my own (just for the sake of completion and challenge) and it was working fine right up until 1.6. Now I get about 15 minutes of play time before I get the "A network error occured" and I get dumped out of the game, this happens on 1.6.2 and 1.6.3.
Anyone know what could be doing this? If I haven't posted in the correct forum let me know, I will remove and put in the correct place |
