Is Vulkan the recomended backend?
It's been a while since I used ppsspp and now when I try the latest beta,I see that I can choose one of 4 backends(I don't even remember if I used OGL or DX9 before)
When I run ppsspp without any settings,vulkan is automatically selected. Using PPSSPP on Windows 7 x64 SP1 i7 4771 3.5Ghz,GTX750TI,16GB RAM Batch iso <=> cso converter http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=5384 Save Game\States Manager http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=5516 |

RE: Is Vulkan the recomended backend?
I believe that was a recent change. The Vulkan backend has progressed quite a bit. Although I don't think it will benefit high end Desktop computers as much at mobile devices.

RE: Is Vulkan the recomended backend?
If your GPU supports it, Vulkan is now recommended. It's not perfect, but it's pretty close and better in many cases than OpenGL.
For example, in Tales of Phantasia X - on a powerful desktop with a decent video card - OpenGL slows down when entering battles. Vulkan runs fine. Texture scaling currently performs a little worse in Vulkan than OpenGL on desktops. -[Unknown] |

RE: Is Vulkan the recomended backend?
For some reason after a while maybe 30 min or so with using save state or sometimes loading time on game vulkan gives an error win 7 and 10.Should update my vulkan driver tho just to lazy lol.
Dx 11 works fine in win 10 but some games do run slower.Example Ragnarok runs slower on dx 11 when using some spells than dx 9.i Personally still prefer dx 9 as for me its a lot more stable. |

Vulkan is still semi broken TBH. It does crash for many people randomly. For now I suggest you stick with OpenGL or Dx11. OpenGL being the most stable option. Everything is Hitsuzen! |

Make sure you are using the latest git build and have the latest graphics drivers.
If you're getting crashes, especially if you can reproduce them, we really want them reported. It's been pretty stable for me on NVIDIA, at least. -[Unknown] |

Sorry was busy.Ok seems like its my win 7 giving me headaches.Was running whole day with Vulkan and no crashes in win 10.dX 11 works fine but just some games that gives graphics problems.Midnight Club. L. A. Remix and Phantasy Star Portable 2 to name two. |
