Playing Multiplayer with 2 computers on the same network?
Me and my brother are trying to play Duodecim from his laptop to my desktop, but when 1 of us joins the lobby the other can't connect. I can play with other friends with different ips but not when we have the same one? Sorry if it's worded confusingly but any help will be appreciated.

First of all, each player MUST have different IP (and different MAC), because Adhoc Server differentiate players by IP instead of MAC, and most adhoc function in PPSSPP differentiate players by MAC.

When someone already use that IP to connect to Adhoc Server, the Adhoc Server will reject any other player using the same IP.

RE: Playing Multiplayer with 2 computers on the same network?
I don't think you even can battle vs more than 1 person at a time in Dissidia, so there should be no need for you to connect with online server while you want to play with someone locally which is the only problematic thing described above as to do that you would need separate external IP's which most people don't have.

If you just want to play with someone on your LAN, activate built-in server in one ppsspp and change server ip on both/all of your clients to a local ip of the device that you ran the server on.
And that's pretty much it. No external software, no connection problems aside from broken adhoc emulation itself. It's actually easier and much better than the potentially laggy, desynchronized online experience you could get from playing random people from all around the world.

The only problem some users might have with it(aside from trying to play broken games that is) is not knowing their local ip, but depending on your OS, there should be many ways of checking it, like for example running "ipconfig" from commandline on windows ~ the info you need is local IPv4 address and you only need to check it on device that runs the server.
