Looking for settings for best quality - PPSSPP 1.3
Hello, I am new here and just recently got into emulating psp. I love the idea of improving graphics quality of psp games and that brings me to my question.
I am running the 1.3 release on windows 10 (I will put my specs down below) and I am looking for advice on settings to improve graphics quality. Windows 10 x64 Intel i7-4700MQ @ 2.40GHz quad core with hyperthreading Nvidia GeForce 745m 2GB of Video Ram 16gb DDR3 Laptop Ram (Forgive me but I dont remember what brand or frequency) Current resolution 1920 x 1080 I know about some of the settings in ppsspp like upscaling textures and resolution. But I would like to hear what everyone is rocking settings wise to make things look better than it did natively on the psp itself. Also I have seen posts elsewhere about unlocking framerates to 60fps with a cheat file. Anyone have any info on that? Thank you in advance! |

I dont care much about graphic fidelity but I do use custom shaders, mostly for fixing washed out colors some games has
But hey, reset all settings and crank up the texture upscale to x5 Old laptop: Lenovo G458 AMD/ATI Radeon HD 7310 | 1366x768@60Hz | APU E1-1200 Dual Core | 2.5 GB DDR3 400MHz | Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit New laptop: Lenovo ideapad 100 Nvidia Geforce 920M 2GB / Intel HD Graphics 5500 | 1366x768@60Hz | Intel Core i3-5005U 2GB | 2GB DDR3 2000MHz | Window 10 Home 64-bit |

I have played with the upscaling a bit. It does make it look a little better. I also downloaded the luna custom upscaling shader which is pretty cool. This is only day 2 of messing with ppsspp. I also used the 60fps cheat for birth by sleep. Man that game is beautiful even before upscaling and shaders. I do love the look of that game.

Current PPSSPP support textures replacing. If youre up to it, you can replace every texture in the game with higher res

I mean I don't have the skill to make higher res textures for anything. Everything would look terrible, even worse than before |
