RE: Patapon 3
Most cheats dont work with patapon 3, you will end up freezing, or crashing ppsspp.
*never use a cheat in a dungeon even if you are sure it works, most times you will endup deleting your keys* (if this happens get the missing keys in the training zones.) If you really need cheats to complete the game use gamekiller on android and cheat engine on windows. Searching for kaching and any material is as easy as just writing the number that you have. You can hack exp too, just be sure to change it to be a little higher than whats required to lvl up (you can only lvl up one lvl at a time) Game works smoth without any graphical problems on android, v1.0 (the one on playstore) easy to do perfect timing. The only issue being multiplayer. |

RE: Patapon 3
seems like everyone is so hung up with patapon 3. i can say im also happy to be able to play the game myself either. its an awesome game. i got an idea though. why not we strive to make a patapon 3 community. make it MMO-ish. it seems that the right solution to play patapon 3 semi-online was to enable ignore read/write and no cheats. what i do to play as uberhero only is first save my game, quit to title, reload my save, and then open my hero gate. so anyone interested to go to my base i have a hamachi of my own, name: patapedia, password aXe57515953. i await you guys.

RE: Patapon 3
@PataPonDonChaka seeing you mentioning driver crash - if you're on win 10 then being a beta tester of rushed OS might be your issue ~ jokes aside more and more people report weird problems/issues on it with OGL so you might try D3D backend and/or wait for better drivers for your gpu.
As far as I can tell fever doesn't really crash the game and at least as far as I remember never did in older versions either. http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=6594 - Custom PPSSPP Shaders! http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=3590&pid=117172#pid117172 - simple CE scripts to help creating CWCheats, https://github.com/LunaMoo/PPSSPP_workarounds - CWCheat workarounds. |

Saving
Referring to my game Patapon 3, I play and save the game using save states. However in that file I can not save in-game. And yet when I go back to the main screen (leaving all my game data unsaved) there is an in-game save. Is there a problem here

Patapon 3 Memory Edit
Hi all,
I'm playing patapon 3 and experimenting with cwcheats found online. I noticed that on the patapon wiki that I cannot gain the 'ultimate' items with the correct stats because of a security feature embedded within the game. See here for further explanation : patapon.wikia.com/wiki/Patapon_3_Infection Now I can fix this with a guide posted on the wiki but there is a difference between using a psp and ppsspp(you know what I mean ). I tried upto a certain point follow the instructions and use HxD/CE to try and manipulate the memory(I have no working knowledge about using a memory editor, only that I understand how data looks like). Long story short; its 1:45am, I'm tired, and I need help reproducing the guide into ppsspp. Any comments/suggestions/help is greatly appreciated. |

RE: Patapon 3
@ChoosyPickyMe a simple question, can this "infection" be caused and tested in single player? And if there are any already "infected" saves available to download that can test the problem prefferably without spending hours playing the game?
Never even heard about this problem and frankly I'm not going to read that wiki properly now since I'm a bit tired, but if I can reproduce and test this problem, then I can just make a better solution aka simple cwcheat than modifies a bit of game code instead of manually finding and re-writing variables. If you really have to use that lame solution and edit game memory manually, you could check my cheat table which has a few scripts that will make things easier. PSP games doesn't have any complex protections, to begin with this game likely bugged out from improperly made cheats, with no intentional protection involved, I mean really patapon is soo basic it doesn't even hash the save in memory, instead uses a lame counter to compare savedata on memstick with the one in memory heh would be really suprised to see any "anti-cheat", so far only saw a real one of those in FFT-0 ~ was very easy to break.:] http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=6594 - Custom PPSSPP Shaders! http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=3590&pid=117172#pid117172 - simple CE scripts to help creating CWCheats, https://github.com/LunaMoo/PPSSPP_workarounds - CWCheat workarounds. |

RE: Patapon 3
@LunaMoo
Yes, the infection can be done within minutes of starting the game, rather it can be done on the 3rd mission. I'll explain to the best of my knowledge and with the assumption that you haven't played Patapon 3. In the game modifying 'chest type/drop rate' already flags the save file. Chests in the game have different variations and 'levels' so to speak, they range from +0 - +40. The level of the chest would be more or less the same level of your main character (ranges from lvl 1 to lvl 40 being the max). If let's say you were level 9 and the chest were level 9 too, the item contained within will also be between +1 - +9. Still following me? Now if I would modify the chest level let's say make it drop into a lvl 40 chest and I'm level 9, the item I would receive would be only at max be +9. Any other succeeding loot that I recieve would be at max +9 or the current level of my main character where I cheated so to speak. I'm uploading my own save file so you can freely test. I'm also inserting the cwcheat modifier of chest drop if you need it. If my explanation confuses you or anybody feel free to reply. Code: _S UCUS-98751 Note: to activate the code play any mission and finish it normally. UCUS98751_DATA01.zip (Size: 187.5 KB / Downloads: 728) |

RE: Patapon 3
Code: _S UCUS-98751 Note that you don't have to use [Disable] cheat, it's there to restore original game code aka to fully disable the patch without restart, but you really should restart anyway also the patch should be safe, so there's no need to really disable it either. *I have to add a bit more info - looking at the cheat that caused it and comparing clear savedata without corruption two things are clear to me: - that fix never was a proper fix, normal unaffected savedata stores current level there and it get's updated so this is NOT indication of any "infection" and 0x28 is NOT what it should have(unless you're at 40 lvl), it's merely a workaround for a game which still is broken, - the cheat which causes it was made to patch chest data that exist for a short time, however the cheat doesn't have any safety checks and the game swaps memory quite a lot, so effectively this cheat breaks a lot of stuff including some potentially important pointers;p. I'm suprised it doesn't crash, but all the glitches are most likely a result of it and the whole "infection" thing can be explained by one or more of the broken pointers leading to other players data glitching it if the cheat was active for the person hosting the game. Honestly it might be impossible to revert all effects of such by-luck-not-crashing cheats and quite bothersome to even try since it would require to check everything such cheat affects and it incorrectly affects different stuff in different parts of the game so yeah it sucks.>.> Maybe I'll look at it again when not having anything better to do, but I really don't see any anti-cheat here the game just get's broken. It sure might not be as easy to cheat properly without changing actual code due to moving stuff in memory where data is stored, but that's normal for many PSP games since they have to survive with 24mb limit somehow. http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=6594 - Custom PPSSPP Shaders! http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=3590&pid=117172#pid117172 - simple CE scripts to help creating CWCheats, https://github.com/LunaMoo/PPSSPP_workarounds - CWCheat workarounds. |

RE: Patapon 3
Hope other people can benefit from this. I do recall however the 'infection' really wonks out the game itself causing problems here and there. Nevertheless thank you.
