And about your question...not sure what exactly you mean,you are supposed to beat him to continue the game.
Or maybe you are asking how to beat him.
Usually if you beat a boss which you are not supposed to be able to,the game continues the same way as if you lose.

I'm asking about where Ventus and Vanitas, during the final boss battle (when Vanitas's face is revealed and is using the X-blade): When you defeat him the 1st time, he rises from the field and smashes it, causing it to break apart. Ventus and Vanitas are floating around and Ventus has new attacks like Dark Spilcer. I used them and when I did that, Ventus and Vanitas clash and I have to press the movement keys I set up, in a circular motion but It's really hard to do that
