Grand Theft Auto - Vice City Stories US
Hello!
I just registered here. Anyway, today i have completed Grand Theft Auto Vice City Stories US version (story missions only). I have to Thank the PPSSPP team for that. I never could get into it on the original PSP. There where a few issues: Audio delay/out of sync, only noticeable when the radio resumes to play when in a vehicle, after pressing pause. No big deal. Slight lag, more frequent when i start to play the game, after a while it only lags one every few minutes. I have tried every setting combination form lowest to highest and it would still lag occasionally. I have played the game on: ppsspp-v0.9.5, ppsspp-v0.9.5-803-g7bdca82-windows-amd64, ppsspp-v0.9.5-816-g2f7057e-windows-amd64, ppsspp-v0.9.5-824-g7c7c4aa-windows-amd64, ppsspp-v0.9.5-839-g569a3cd-windows-amd64, ppsspp-v0.9.5-848-g726327b-windows-amd64, ppsspp-v0.9.5-857-g7881cf2-windows-amd64, ppsspp-v0.9.5-868-g50f67d6-windows-amd64 and ppsspp-v0.9.5-870-g6a8123b-windows-amd64. And the lag happens on all of them. Also there is texture loading problem, i don't know if it's supposed to be like that in the game or is it a emulation problem? Maybe its my PC? Here are my Specs: Computer: Computer Type ACPI x64-based PC Operating System Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate OS Service Pack Service Pack 1 Internet Explorer 9.11.9600.16428 DirectX DirectX 11.0 Motherboard: CPU Type QuadCore Intel Core i5-2300, 2900 MHz (29 x 100) Motherboard Name Gigabyte GA-H67M-UD2H-B3 (2 PCI-E x1, 2 PCI-E x16, 4 DDR3 DIMM, Audio, Video, Gigabit LAN) Motherboard Chipset Intel Cougar Point H67, Intel Sandy Bridge System Memory 8176 MB (DDR3-1333 DDR3 SDRAM) DIMM1: G Skill F3-10666CL9-2GBNS 2 GB DDR3-1333 DDR3 SDRAM (8-8-8-22 @ 609 MHz) (7-7-7-20 @ 533 MHz) (6-6-6-17 @ 457 MHz) DIMM2: Kingston 9905471-001.A01LF 2 GB DDR3-1333 DDR3 SDRAM (8-8-8-22 @ 609 MHz) (7-7-7-20 @ 533 MHz) (6-6-6-17 @ 457 MHz) DIMM3: Kingston 9905403-011.A01LF 2 GB DDR3-1333 DDR3 SDRAM (9-9-9-24 @ 666 MHz) (8-8-8-22 @ 592 MHz) (7-7-7-19 @ 518 MHz) (6-6-6-16 @ 444 MHz) DIMM4: Kingston 9905471-001.A01LF 2 GB DDR3-1333 DDR3 SDRAM (8-8-8-22 @ 609 MHz) (7-7-7-20 @ 533 MHz) (6-6-6-17 @ 457 MHz) BIOS Type Award Modular (02/22/11) Communication Port Communications Port (COM1) Communication Port Printer Port (LPT1) Display: Video Adapter NVIDIA GeForce GTX 570 (1280 MB) Video Adapter NVIDIA GeForce GTX 570 (1280 MB) 3D Accelerator nVIDIA GeForce GTX 570 Monitor Philips 221EL (221EL2) [22" LCD] (AU11101005847) Multimedia: Audio Adapter nVIDIA HDMI/DP @ nVIDIA GF110 - High Definition Audio Controller Audio Adapter nVIDIA HDMI/DP @ nVIDIA GF110 - High Definition Audio Controller Audio Adapter nVIDIA HDMI/DP @ nVIDIA GF110 - High Definition Audio Controller Audio Adapter nVIDIA HDMI/DP @ nVIDIA GF110 - High Definition Audio Controller Audio Adapter Realtek ALC889 @ Intel Cougar Point PCH - High Definition Audio Controller [B-3] Storage: IDE Controller Standard Dual Channel PCI IDE Controller IDE Controller Standard Dual Channel PCI IDE Controller Disk Drive ST31000333AS ATA Device (1000 GB, 7200 RPM, SATA-II) Disk Drive WDC WD10EARX-00N0YB0 ATA Device (931 GB, IDE) Optical Drive ASUS DRW-24B3LT ATA Device (DVD+R9:12x, DVD-R9:12x, DVD+RW:24x/8x, DVD-RW:24x/6x, DVD-RAM:12x, DVD-ROM:16x, CD:48x/24x/48x DVD+RW/DVD-RW/DVD-RAM) Optical Drive DTSOFT Virtual CdRom Device SMART Hard Disks Status OK Will the lag issue be solved in the near future? I will play the game many times anyway, so no problem. Again, thank you for making such a great emulator, i would have never dreamed that i would be able to play PSP Games on my PC! I'm very impressed by the emulator and the rapid progress it's making! My game settings and texture problem are attached below. |
