The problem with that (besides wishing there hadn't been a regression - before it was possible to fix the rendering issues by changing rendering modes after the battle started) is that at some point - I didn't track exactly when - some important graphics were moved to display in the buffer only and are totally invisible in non-buffered rendering. For example, you can't see the EX burst indicator at all and just have to know it's there.
EDIT: Whatever caused the EX burst indicator to not appear without buffered rendering is gone in r1945. Non-buffered rendering works like it did in 0.8.1 now. I only use PPSSPP on Windows. Intel Core i3 1.9GHz | 4GB RAM | Integrated Intel HD 4400 | Windows 8.1 x64 |
