BTW, does anyone know why for most stages you need to re-set the buffering mode or the screen is vertically distorted? (Sorry about the imprecision; I don't know the terminology.) It doesn't matter what it's set to, but you always have to re-set it, like the buffer loads distorted.

I've seen this happen with regular game saves as well. Just keep pressing up and eventually you'll reach your file.
