If mapping it the default way doesn't work, you may have better luck using x360ce. It will let your generic controller be recognized as an XBOX360 controller. Thus, more compatibility with more games, not just PPSSPP.

no nvm, i finally got it to work lol, just repeated the same process over and over again until it worked lolz thanks anyways xD
