Yeah there's an issue with that first tutorial area. I have a feeling you might be able to get through it if you memorized everything but thats a tad ridiculous. If you load a save at the first save point it seems to work from there. I think there's one listed on these forums here: http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=1323&page=2
