From the NullDC (Reicastdc) team comes the much awaited Android/Multi-Platform version of the famous PC Sega DreamCast emulator (nullDC). Now available on various platforms in an early Alpha form for free.

Reicast is a multi-platform Dreamcast emulator.

The project is currently in Alpha, usability, performance and stability issues are to be expected. We'll fix them the following weeks! As we only have a few android devices, we'd really love to see your videos of it running!

Cortex-A9 dualcore, 1ghz+ is the minimum hardware for decent speeds

The Dreamcast BIOS is required for this emulator to work. Put it on /sdcard/dc/data/dc_boot.bin. The Dreamcast flash should be on /sdcard/dc/data/dc_flash.bin. You should dump these files from your Dreamcast, Google has many tutorials on how to. if the dc or data folders are missing, create them.

In order to save your game-play progress you will first need to format the memory cards. In order to do this you need to start the program, select the "boot bios" option, go to the "file" option, select the memory cards and then select the "delete all" option.

Been waitin years for this but cant find the directory to dump bios etc.. ie:- sd card/data/dc etc ?!?

You have to make the directory your self.

Sdcard/dc/data then place the bio in there.

once you have done this you can boot roms from anywhere on Sdcard or external storage

Unlike the leaked alpha a year ago, this can run cdi files as well (better for storage space).

Runs perfect on my Tab (Tested MVC2, MSR, Etc) but on my 1080p Xperia Z1 the on-screen buttons are oversized and can't see the analog stick. But it's an alpha so expect bugs.

make new folder dc/data/dc_boot.bin put file dc_bios.bin on dc_boot.bin folder and dc/data/dc_flash.bin put file dc_flash.bin on dc_flash.bin folder

You don't need to make the extra bin folders as the boot and flash bin files go in the data folder. You only need to make the dc folder and inside that the data folder.

Also I found that the memory cards are corrupt after the emulator has configured itself. To rectify this issue boot bio and format (delete/reset) the VM's in the memory card option. After this you will be able to save.

There are no options but you can edit the cfg file located in the dc folder after first boot. It's bugged but you can stretch to widescreen if edit the value from 0 to 1 etc, etc

The memory cards need to be formatted.. boot bios, I remember when they did this on PC version.

Boot BIOS in app.. ie:at top it says boot BIOS, click it then formatt memory card, (delete everything)

this emu could be a continuation of nulldce for Android (there was a leaked alpha), or maybe it is a standalone project?
