Currently testing with nightmesh to get it running, but there seems to be a problem (probably ping?)

The tricks people use for games like monster hunter where they slow down the game while connecting doesn't work. If your playing locally you don't have to slow down at all. You join the game as soon as you try invading it. The only explanation I can come up with is that it's ping related. The adhoc code is fine. |

I put my router into a mode kinda like dmz and though I'd give coldbird server a try again and while playing the game someone joined my game. Their name was mastue or matse, something along those lines. If anyone else has dmz going for them could they try connecting to the server and joining my game if they see one up. I'm in the chatzy room if you wanna test it out together. http://us21.chatzy.com/53406607553012 |

RE: Final Fantasy Type-0
Ok we got it working,
Our setup was: Me (Host) located in germany, adhocserver was coldbirds server. DMZ enabled. No adhocpro. Nightquake (Client/player) located in ukraine, DMZ enabled (i think). No adhoc pro. Also coldbirds server. Both used PPSSPP, my revision was 1142, not sure about his. Using normal Speed (30fps), 1000mhz clock speed, Fast memory disabled. Multiplayer works perfectly fine, could connect multiple times to the same session aswell. No slow downs required. |

There's a guy that's been trying to join my games with changing his name everytime and I can tell he wants to talk to me some how by what he puts. Here's out chat room. You don't have to sign up. Just give yourself a name and a color besides black.

Nothing over the internet. I do know that hamachi works. Also coldbird with after turning on dmz or something close to it. Also turning off my firewall helped me see a few rooms that weren't there before. As said before the closer you live to at person the better chance you have to play with each other. |

RE: Final Fantasy Type-0
I just want to point out that my friend and I have had no problems with multiplayer using the Hamachi stickied guide. I'm in central US and he's in Brazil and we have no problems or lag whatsoever. We have to do the 50% speed trick to get connected tho.

RE: Final Fantasy Type-0
My guess is, the farther you are away from each other (and its probably an issue of minimal ping differences) the more likely you have to slow down the game for it to work. The closer you are to each other, with a good and stable connection (im 99% sure ur uplaod speed is also affecting this) the less likely you have to use any kind of slow downs. So depending on your distance to the host/client, play around with Alternative speed values. If it doesnt work at all you are either:
-Too far away from the person. -Either yours or the other persons internet connection cannot keep up. -If playing over Coldbird / Direct IP connections, your ports are not open. (Common issue) |
