RE: rule of thumb for emulation?
well, not exactly, you can use the search button to found your answer. Since, if I'm right, henrik already answered to that question.

RE: rule of thumb for emulation?
yep thats why im askin lol.
cheers m8. in my opinion we will need dual core plus to emulate the psp at full speed 333 mhz times ten unless you know something i dont. maybe with frameskip it could boost fps. my current phone i9003 oc to 1,35 ghz im expecting no more than half speed but lets see. dreamcast emu could run. |

Dynarec will help alot, some game will run at full speed I'm pretty sure
If not full speed maybe at 90% of it Hey everybody, tired of the way games are reported here? look here ->> http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=5901 --Current Mobile device-- Htc one, Xplay, Walkman z, Samsung ace IIx (crap) --Current Computer-- 1x (e8200, shitty ram (3go), 9600gt) 1x (e6750, better ram (2go), no video card) 1x (i5-3210M, ram (4Go),650M) |

RE: rule of thumb for emulation?
High level emulation (HLE) should be more efficient than low level emulation (LLE), for example an old n64 emulator called UltraHLE was able to emulate n64 requiring the same power of nes emulators.

RE: rule of thumb for emulation?
Games on PSP differ incredibly much in how much they demand of the hardware, and the HLE nature of PPSSPP makes the overhead very low for games that don't really use the hardware. So some games, like The Impossible Game, will run at fullspeed on the crappiest hardware while I'm sure the toughest ones will only go full speed on high end phones, even after optimization. We will see.
