I have already tried disabling the multithreading and fast memory as others have suggested, but the same thing always happens and the app crashes.

Edit: Actually I just tried it on my computer and PPSSPP crashed at the exact same spot. Could it be that it is a fault with the game file I used?

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Try disabling/unchecking "Fast Memory" option. I had the same problem and after I unchecked Fast Memory game finally worked for me.

RE: Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII
I need some help with the Crisis Core rom on ppsspp v1.1.1 The game looks and runs great, except for one tiny issue. The in game cutscenes (not cinematics, and only a handfull of the cutscenes infact) all seem to ignore the texture/resolution/AA settings in the psp emu. They're all SUPER fuzzy like there's zero AA applied to them, and nothing I change settings wise changes that.

I'm currently using the following settings:

rendering mode:
Backend - Direct 3D9
Mode - Buffered Rendering
Simulate Block Transfer Effects - on

framerate control:
Frameeskipping - Off
Auto Grameskip - Off
Prevent FPS from exceeding 60 - On
Alternative Speed - 0

features:
Postprocessing Shader - FXAA Antialiasing
Fullscreen - off
Stretch to display - off
Display layout editor - havnt touched this

performance:
Rendering resolution - 5x psp
display rotation - landscape
vsync - off
mipmapping - off
hardware transform - on
software skinning - off
vertex cache - off
lazy texture caching - off
retain cahnged textures - off
disable slower effects - off
spline/bezier curves quality - high

texture scaling:
upscale level - auto
upcale type - xBRZ
deposterize - off

texture filtering:
anisotropic filtering - 16x
Texture Filtering - auto
screen scaling filter - linear

hacks: (all hacks are turned off)

overlay information:
Show FPS Counter - none
show debug statistics - off

debugging: (havn't touched any of this)

Now, these settings work for a beautiful and flawless play through of birth by sleep, but something in them is off for Crisis Core. Any ideas anyone?

RE: Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII
ZigZag557 what are your pc specs.
Does the problem also happens on the ingame cut scene that is after the cinematic cut scene when you start a new game(when Zack is talking on the phone).

It works fine here on both my video cards(nVidia GTX750TI and Intel HD4600)
And btw those need to be enabled
mipmapping - off
software skinning - off
vertex cache - off

Using PPSSPP on Windows 7 x64 SP1
i7 4771 3.5Ghz,GTX750TI,16GB RAM

Batch iso <=> cso converter

RE: Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII
It does look bad(I don't remember if it was that bad(on my old 17inch 1024x768 Monitor))but

That's a video cutscene(like the first one on the train which you can't make it look better)

Only parth of it is prerendered cut scene and that parth looks really bad(especially on a big screen)
The videos are just at low resolution and no options can make them look better

Transferred saves from PSP won't load (help?)
I've been trying to copy my saves of Crisis Core from my PSP to the emulator, but the screen just goes black when I try to load them. Here's what I did:

I copied the PSP's memstick folder to the correct location, but the game couldn't find them when I tried to load them in PPSSPP. Then I noticed the saves had slightly different names to the save I made from the emulator (the PSP was ULES01044DATA0, and PPSSPP was ULUS10336DATA0). So I changed the names of the folders to match the emu ones, and they now actually show up in the game. However when I try to load them the screen goes black and nothing happens.

I thought it might be due to different regions, so I got the EU version of the Crisis Core rom and tried again but it's still the same problem.

Can anybody help?

RE: Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII
I've been having problems with Crisis Core for a while now, not sure if it has something to do with the new version or not. All I can say about the problem is that as I'm playing the program randomly decides to crash. It is never the same thing that crashes it, though occasionally it will go into a crash loop mostly with exiting the menu. I will be just playing the game, like just now fighting trash to try to get some materia mastered. It doesn't make playing all that fun. And now all of a sudden it has started freezing the video when I enter into battles randomly! What is going on?

The settings I have running are as follows:
rendering mode:
Backend - Direct 3D9
Mode - Skip buffer effects (non-buffered)
Simulate Block Transfer Effects - on

framerate control:
Frameeskipping - Off
Auto Grameskip - Off
Prevent FPS from exceeding 60 - On
Alternative Speed - 0

features:
Postprocessing Shader - FXAA Antialiasing
Fullscreen - off
Stretch to display - off
Display layout editor - n/a
performance:
Rendering resolution - 5x psp
vsync - off
mipmapping - off
hardware transform - on
software skinning - off
vertex cache - on
lazy texture caching - off
retain cahnged textures - off
disable slower effects - off
spline/bezier curves quality - high

texture scaling:
upscale level - auto
upcale type - xBRZ
deposterize - off

texture filtering:
anisotropic filtering - 16x
Texture Filtering - auto
screen scaling filter - linear

hacks: (all hacks are turned off)

overlay information:
Show FPS Counter - speed
show debug statistics - off

You're probably missing the menus. It happened to me too. When the opening cinematic plays, press X then look at the bottom right of the screen. A "New Game" and "Load Game" text should appear.

RE: Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII
I think that's how one of the original versions of PPSSPP that first started supporting this game ran, when videos weren't working yet.

You're using the latest version right? I recommend the latest git build.

Have you verified your ISO has a good crc?
