Save State on KH: BBS not working

Anyone know whats up? Just got PPSSPP & my version of Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep isnt allowing me to use the save state. Every time I try, it just says "Failed to Save State!", no matter what slot I choose.

I heard after you finish the tutorial part you could use the save states, but I haven't done that yet to try it. dont wanna waste time with this if I cant even save... (and before you're asking, I tried using the in-game save, and that didnt work either)

go to var/mobile/documents and set permission 775 for psp folder
