Not long ago, I just hacked my Switch and I installed PPSSPP on it. Just tested today (Along with RetroArch) and I'm impressed with the results. I found out that you can load up custom textures on games and it works. But unfortunately, it crashes.
The textures does work on the main menu and it always crashes on the first cutscene. One time though, it actually played the first part of the game and it just ran fine, until it gave up when it tried to load up the second area. So basically, it can work, I just don't know how. Even weirder is that I tried running just a UI upscale mod and it still crashes (Despite that it deals with less resources). It worked for someone else, but not me for some reason ( https://gbatemp.net/threads/ppsspp-switc...71/page-12 ).
Is there any suggestions of what I can do to fix this issue? I'm using the latest version, haven't changed a lot of settings other than replace textures (I'm a newbie to PPSSPP) and I'm not overclocking the Switch (If overclocking the Switch is the way, definitely recommend it to me).
Also, what's the difference between GL and GLES2 (Again, I'm big newbie)?

First: thanks developers for this great emulator, all works great at the first run, even the psx pad: very good!
For now I only want to play FF VIII crisis core, on ubuntu16.04 and for some reasons with Jack audio server. I use to start pulseaudio (with a bridge) to help audio with some soft, like games or web-browser. Hardware: CPU phenomII X4, 8Goram, CG radeon hd 5400-512mo.
I use an iso file, found the hd texture pack here, set pspX3 to enhance resolution and all well! The game runs at 30 fps.
But I steel have audio issue (hacked), and specially during story scenes (when they speak).
When that occurs the fps down to 8-10.
Don't know if that matter but I play in french, so with subtitle.
During the rest of the game, I have very few little hack, it's negligible.
I've tried all audio option, back to pspX1, skip 8frame: no change!
I've found in ppsspp.ini, [sound] section a line called "ExtraAudioBuffering" (false): what is this? (but don't matter)
For the jack audio side, I've tried without pulseaudio, 44100 and 44800khz (32000 and 96000 don't work), and audio buffer set from 128 to 4096. Nothing help! Even set audio to off.
I've got a great example of the issue: the scene when meting Angeal mother's for the first time, in Banora. When she speak about Genesis, it's quite inaudible.
I join a game save to test: just go in the house on your left and see if the scene is ok.
I tried first with stable PPA version 1.7.0 (testing seem to be the same??), and then the linux build, version 1.7.5-403. No change.
[EDIT] Last try: using unlimited speed during the scene, I can reach 200% speed.
But using other set for speed (200%,600%, 800%..) don't change anything (stay at 35% of speed during issue).
I'm quite surprised by this issue.
Is that know issue?
I've also tried to found what was the audio specification of the psp, specially the sample rate but can't found data on this. Or what is the sample rate used by ppsspp?
can some one help me with this, i've been trying to make 2 ppsspp emulators to link in 1 PC, so far, all i get are 2 screens that can't seem to communicate, I've been following the guide i've seen in youtube and tutorials in the forums but so far, no luck...
all i get are socket errors from time to time or sometime the ppsspp window just freezes
RAGNAROK TACTICS is not included in the list yet, and I hope someone can experiment on it and tell me if it is at all possible to link them
my android phone and my tablet can't seem to connect as well with either hot spot or router method

Im currently using the latest build ppsspp on galaxy s10.. ppsspp menu is good with full screen but when i started every games its not gonna full screen even I click fullscreen and stretching in settings..
Any idea how to make the game fullscreen?

It was never like immediately but it always had like flash to a black screen and the emulator got crashes.
I got the latest version of the emulator, the setting was on high (like checklist everything it could to make the game runs cool) but keep the upscale off.
for several game-like Disgaea or war of lions it runs well, but game-like Dissidia or god of war. Nope!, play it like 10-15 minutes and all ruin.
I'm[/size][/font] wonder if enabling cheat had some effect on here ~ but that what i get. hope someone help me.
For some reason now I can't use my ps4 controller on dolphin. Its says it's disconnected but 5 min ago it was working fine. Anyone knows how to fix it?
