| Black screen on boot after closing (+input bug) |

I have encountered an exceeding bizarre bug with PPSSPP.
The first time I run it on every startup, it's perfect. Golden. I run it at 6x render resolution downsampled to 3x with no framedrops.
But, for whatever reason, once I close it and try to start it up again, sometimes it turns into this.
![[Image: z0SYQ7R.png]](https://i.imgur.com/z0SYQ7R.png)
Black screen, and clicking anything on the toolbar does nothing. Trying to load an ISO brings up no menu. Trying to change video settings from the toolbar doesn't even change the settings.
The only way I've found to fix this is, for some reason, restarting my computer.
If there's some sort of log I can provide to help clarify, please do tell.
Edit: It appears, for whatever reason, despite being on an SSD, it was just taking really, really long to start up. I have no idea why.
I suppose this is as good a time as any to bring up another weird bug: Exiting PPSSPP sometimes kills my mouse input. My laptop won't respond to mouse and controller inputs - in fact, it doesn't appear to register them as being there at all. The closest thing to a solution is enabling "Leave touchpad on when a mouse is connected", which makes me think there's some rogue HID service that gets very, very confused when PPSSPP is exited with my mouse/controller unplugged after being started up with them plugged in - I believe that plugged/unplugged discrepancy is what causes it. Again, the only solution I've found is restarting my computer.

| Less pixelated or blurry graphics on Yu-Gi-Oh Tag Force games? |

In the Yu-Gi-Oh Tag Force games, I notice that in screenshots and videos of other people playing those games on PPSSPP their cards look noticably less pixelated or blurry (depending on what Texture Filtering I use).
If I set Texture Filtering on Auto or 1 of the Linear options, it's noticably more blurry. If I set it on Nearest, it's noticably more pixelated (and not just the cards, it's quite noticable on the duel field as well, such as when A Legendary Ocean is in play with its "sun shining throuh the ocean"-effect, made a screenshot of a small portion: https://i.imgur.com/1p2jwIA.jpg ).
Render resolution is set to 10x PSP. Have tried multiple PPSSPP versions (had 1.6.3, upgraded to 1.10.1 thinking that might do the trick), all the backends, and Texture Scaling which only makes things blurry or gives it this, as people call it, waterpainting effect.
So I was wondering: what settings could people have been used to make the cards in their Tag Force game look as if their Texture Filtering is in-between Linear and Nearest?

I notice that compared to people's screenshots or videos of Yu-Gi-Oh Tag Force games running on the PPSSPP emulator, the graphics of their cards are somewhere in-between to what I'm able to get: if I put Texture Filtering on Auto or 1 of the Linear options, it's noticably more blurry, and if I put Texture Filtering on Nearest it's noticably more pixelated (besides the cards, it's especially noticably when the field has been changed to A Legendary Ocean which has a graphical "sun shines through the ocean"-effect, which looks fine in other modes, but has HUGE pixels in Linear, see: https://i.imgur.com/vjTjYLc.jpg ).
Render resolution is at 10x PSP (Automatic made no difference). I've tried multiple PPSSPP versions (still had 1.6.3 installed, so I upgraded to 1.10.1), all the backends, and Texture Scaling which just gives me the option of blurry or that, as people call it, waterpainting effect. All other settings are default (even made sure of that by resetting the settings).
So I'm really wondering, what kind of settings have people used to have the cards look like Texture Filtering is somewhere in-between Nearest and Linear?

I have a moto e6 smartphone using pie with vulkan backend. The game runs great until I get to a cutscene that has fog like transparent curtains moving around. The sound stutters and the game slows down. Do I just not have enough cpu power to render alpha transparency's like these effects. I have used emulators a long time and know that alpha transparency's are usually their Achilles' heel. Any recommendations?
